One way to bypass paying the additional $100 is to apply and be approved for a fee waiver through LSAC. They will include the LSAT Prep Plus along with your fee waiver. -
Do law schools get score reports before we do?Some discussion on reddit about getting emails from better tier schools 1-1.5 weeks before official score release - anyone have a similar experience?
A lot of that could just be app farming. It's common to get moonshot app invites. That said I have seen people get "congrats on your 17x" emails while their score was being held for writing or fee waiver disputes, so it's not impossible. -

Just email them and ask for a fee waiver. Many of them have stopped sending waivers based on CRS data by now. -

If you're asking for a fee waiver, you need to do so before your app is submitted. As far as I know, schools don't refund any application fees you have already paid. I would email whatever school you're applying to and ask if they waive the CAS fee. -
