Law schools care about their rankings, which are largely affected by the numbers, more than students do. They absolutely care more about a 175 than a 170.
Also, the "rankings leak" last year turned out to be false apparently... so I'll still wait for tomorrow.. though the Duke Michigan thing squares up with Above the Law 's peek at the USNWR rankings.
I'm curious to know that myself @ddakjiking . I'm really surprised by Duke getting in the top 10, though next year they'll probably be 11 again. Besides Michigan and Duke, I'd say the rankings look pretty standard.
@"Jonathan Wang" ...do you think they'll make it to the top 20 as was their goal anytime soon??? I think that school has a ton going for it but the USNWR rankings have a degree of rigidity. I REALLY think that school is awesome.

side comparison. These schools are close as you can get for so-called "peer" schools. Rankings don't really matter outside of T14 anyways. I'd go with the one that offers you more money.
