Use Google Chrome and make sure to test the equipment using that specific browser. It informed me half way through the test that I needed to update my brower, so I clicked the link and it had me download a ProctorU extension for Chrome! Good luck :) -

It might be because of the ProctorU extension that needs to be downloaded to take the test. If you haven't already disabled it you should try that first. -
