Speed will come as you improve in understanding Logic games and see repeated inferences. I blind review after I have taken a PT. But I do it by each game, individually. That way the inferences are fresh.

I did all the LGs from PT1-20. And I wrote every other PT from 1-20, and BRed them. I found it helpful, but I'd prioritize the games. Doing the more recent full PTs is almost surely a better option.

I just read the stems of all 29 weaken except question through 7Sage's question bank filter from PT1-79. I did not find a construction like the second one you referenced.
