I think that you can keep a lot of the elements that you like (good spacing, easy to read) while toning it down a bit to match the standard format. Your résumé isn't the place to get fancy in a law school app.
I think it depends! If your résumé is well-formatted and tasteful, great! If it's loud, you might want to dial down the design elements so that the content takes precedence.
As far as my knowledge is concerned, only the raw number matters. Admission committees may take your relative ranking into consideration though (especially if you note it on your résumé, your undergraduate institution is infamous for rigor, etc).

Your résumé should be in reverse chronological order. This should be listed in order of importance. They're also inviting you to write more narrative descriptions than you would in résumé descriptions.
