I recently went to a law school fair and admissions officers there generally advised you to take it as few times as possible, 3 times at the most they said. However, I'm sure taking it 5 times and ending with a 170 would trump someone who just took it once and got a 150.
Thanks for the insight, it is nice to know that people are in my shoes and that full rides are still a possibility. I am in the 149-155 range but with 7sage and focus and some time, I think I can hit the 170 mark... here's hoping haha.
i took it like 5 times. not a problem. got close to a full scholarship. no one really cared.

There are now new rules to this:
3 times is the max you can take in a testing year (testing year is June 1st to May 31st)
you can only take a max of 5 tests in the current and last 5 testing years
you can only take a max of 7 tests in your life time
I’ve taken it three times.
