Self-study
I just scored a 155 on PT123 (BR 164). I am aiming for 170+ by June.
I've been studying everyday for 3-6 hours since June 2025 (did the whole curriculum, read the loophole, blind reviewed a ton and do drills every day) and I just feel so discouraged. I really thought that I improved and understood the concepts better, but under timed conditions I just keep messing up. i suspect that S3 and S4 were worse due to fatigue and lack of concentration, but I'm still sad that I missed still missed so many.
Any advice?

While I feel your pain, just imagine for a moment how it feels to have studied on and off (and for the past 2 years+, very much ON) for this test since 2020, which included going through the CC twice only to get, on your first PT, a whopping 153, followed by another 153 on another PT a month later, and then a 148 on a PT 2-3 months after that all while having blind review scores in the range of 163-177.
That's where I'm at so it could be much, MUCH worse and demoralizing than it is as you haven't sunk anywhere near that amount of time into studying (and the better for you!).
All's that is to say that you're doing great and progressing at a good rate.
Now, everyone is different and I don't want to project here, but I think 170+ by June from a 155 is asking for a lot. I think you should take more time. You can get that score, but realistically, it'll take more time than 2 1/2 months.
Just my perspective and .02 cents...
It looks less like lack of knowledge and more like inconsistency from just this test, but you'd also have to look at other tests. The main thing that helped me get consistent was focusing on full-length practice tests rather than drilling or timed sections. It increases your stamina and keeps you in the right mindset. You should also make sure you're watching the clock and have time targets (ex: when i have 20 min left, I want to be at #15). Maybe switch things up by doing the last questions first and working backward. Keep trying new things and keep your head up!
If you're trying to improve by June, you have plenty of time! Take a week or two off to reflect or just chill and come back after.
Hello,
I don't have as much advice since I'm in the same spot. I just wanted to let you know you aren't alone. I was PT'ing in the mid to high 160s and scored a 158 on my first attempt. I completely understand that feeling of disappointment when your score doesn't reflect the time and effort you've put in. Do you get headaches or fogginess in the second half? I always try to take some Tylenol or Advil before the test, so my head stays clear. Obviously, you understand most of the concepts as reflected in your first two sections. However, I have the same problem. My variance is all over the place. I don't have much advice except to keep practicing and taking practice tests to build stamina which is what I'm doing. Good luck and keep your head high. 155 is still a good score.
If you are struggling to identify what concepts you aren't quite getting, maybe getting a tutor would be helpful. They could provide an outside POV and help you grow.
Also, I don't know if you do non-timed drills, but maybe do some of those on your 'high priority' concepts, just to really get the idea down before you try to do it in a time constraint. The blind review leads me to think there are some concepts that perhaps are preventing you from upping your score to the level you want.
You've got this! And regardless, a 155 can get you into a lot of solid schools. So don't lose hope!
