We hear you loud and clear. We're rolling back the change as soon as we can.

Seriously when are you planning to bring it back? I am really suffering with the new format, it disturbed my study plan. Please bring it back ASAP. There's no even A/B test, or even a survey for this update, I just don't understand how this happend. Feel like this is not a user-friendly product anymore.

    Drills should not auto start.

I agree with the majority here—the ability to customize drills before launching into the questions is an extremely helpful feature. People who are just starting out on drills or have testing accommodations need to be able to adjust the time to their needs. It’s useful to have the ability to pick specific question types so you can hone in on your weaknesses and drill what’s challenging for you. It’s also helpful to adjust the number of questions and difficulty level—so you can fully customize the type of drill you’re taking. Personally, I always customize a drill in at least one way. I haven’t ever jumped into a drill with the default settings. Please change this setting back to allow for the customization of drills.

It's more convenient the way it was before.

I think having the ability to customize was a good feature and it should be reinstated. I appreciated being able to adjust whether it was a timed or untimed drill. I try to alternate days of doing drills under time pressure and doing drills that are more to improve analysis. I also sometimes prefer to do more/less than the predetermined amount of questions.

I agree! It was much preferable the way it was before. It allowed me to tailor the drill to my needs, while showing me what the drill was recommending. I don't see what is gained by having it auto-start.

It's very helpful to be able to adjust before starting! I sometimes have to study on the go and therefore in settings that are less than ideal for studying/focusing lol, so being able to choose to do untimed drills for those times was perfect.

Timed drills are important, but it's not always feasible to do them every time.

I found this update to be very frustrating. Was there any A/B testing? Was there considerations to make a soft launch (e.g. an option to opt out)?

Why are you asking after the fact? This section of your platform is one of the most critical sections for us to improve our understanding of the exam. This appears careless/thoughtless, especially for the amount we pay monthly.

I am now also receiving Internal Server Error's when selecting different drills. Please consider that some of us have limited time/resources and put our trust in your product/platform.

From A Concerned Stressed Test Taker, thank you.

The old format was a lot better especially for people who have testing accommodations (or need to practice without time to gain skill over speed first) to set the timer length as well as if the questions are fresh or not.

Please change it back. I cannot address how horribly this change has impeded my progress and efficiency. It's stressful and the new change has a bug in it anyway where the automatic timer is a different number every drill!

Change it back! Sometimes I want to switch to unlimited time so I can slow down and regain focus. Or just switch it up.

I like this new version because it forces me to stop being so lenient with myself. I would prefer if we could just select an option in the settings to make it the way it is now or to change it to the way it was before, that way everyone would be happy.

It's just that if I leave it up to myself, I will choose the easiest path, meaning that I will always make my drills untimed, and that's one of the reasons why I wasn't making any progress... because I'm so soft on myself. Plus, that's why we have blind review, no? If I need more time because I couldn't finish some answers, I will get that additional time on blind review. And at the same time I will be working on doing answers under time pressure.

@UcraniaMerino I like the idea of having the option to make them autostart but also have the ability to toggle off auto start. Seems like that would be the best of both worlds.

@BentonSimpson Yes, 100%. I know that customization is really helpful for most people, but that "untimed" option is so juicy and good looking... I can't stop myself from selecting that every single time. I'm just weak like that. So this change has really helped me get out of that habit. It would be perfect if we could have the option to select how we want it, everyone would be happy.
