Quantifiers Cheat Sheet

Anyone have a handy cheat sheet/master list for the quantifiers ("some," most," "all," "few," etc), what they imply, their negations, and valid and invalid arguments that can be made with them (I.e All before most is invalid)?? Having all this out on one page would be super helpful for me so just thought I'd ask.

    IMO formal argument forms are best understood via whitelist: there are so many ways to mess them up that memorizing what you can do is most efficient. Anything not on that list is verboten, and there's only 6 things on that list.

    I recognize that link is just a partial answer, though. As for a list of actual terms, there are too many to actually list. There are lots, tons, loads, gobs, heaps, innumerable terms that just mean "some", for example.

    @MichaelWright Hi! I learned getting a some inference from two all statements combined is valid. according to the source you provided, two most statements combined can also yield a some inference… to confirm, all+all and most+most yields some, which is valid? TY

    @lagata Yep that's correct if you're talking about the form:

    A --> B

    A --> C

    ---

    B <-s-> C

    ^^That works with both all and most claims in the premises.

    Here is one that I use, it is not comprehensive and doesn't include the valid/invalid arguments, but I hope it helps some!
