@Dagny my roommate has a new job that makes me wake up earlier than before, so I try to study a bit on the way to work and before work. The walls are paper thin, and the quietness means sometimes the supervising attorney or the janitor hears me lol. Working on doing me no matter how awkward the dead silence can be.
@NoNamed92 What’s the revenge bedtime procrastination? If it is me studying hard before bed instead of unwinding a bit before bed because I didn’t focus as much earlier, then yes that is me lol. 💀😩
I’ve signed up for the January exam but I’m plateauing in the high 150s to lower 160s (one 166). I’ve been at this plateau for months now.
I have a full time job and additionally volunteer, plus therapy and living on my own other things/chores/errands I need to do. Also, I have trouble sleeping so I need to give myself more time to fall asleep, which detracts from my studying. Yes, I know that without sleep, I cannot do anything, which is why I prioritize sleep.
Currently, I’m taking one practice test a week. I often feel like I spend the week doing blind review then I take another practice test. Should I:
A. Take one practice test every two weeks to give me more time to review and drill?
B. How to more efficiently study with the time I got while maintaining one exam a week?
Maybe I’m burning out. I feel tired and a bit depressed at the results. I don’t want to give up though. Due to valid reasons, I have a lower GPA, so the pressure for an amazing LSAT score is much higher.
Please ask any questions to help determine the best plan for me.
I am scared if I do practice tests every other week, I may not be doing enough to practice stamina. I am running out of fresh practice tests(am using PTs from the 90s??)

Hey Y’al! I’ve noticed that whenever I am rigid or methodical with defining my sufficient or necessary conditions and there are several conditional statements in a stimulus, I often miss opportunities to chain them together due to the rigidity I apply of whether it’s the same condition/concept being referred to. For example— will add Q example later
How to be more flexible in wording concepts or conditionals in order better chain them? What is too flexible? I don’t want to chain the unchainable
Hey yall. I noticed a significant point increase in RC when I am interested enough in the RC passages to focus and not fall half asleep vs a significant point decrease when the passages are not something I can get into. any advice besides read it in a funny or unserious tone? Really need to stay awake and locked in. (I am interested in humanities or spotlight passages when I can yearn for the underdog. I am not as interested in reading about the color of glass or photographic techniques.)
As for timing, I spent more time on the first two passages then rush the last two— any tips? Practice timed?

@MarcusTsang Hey Marcus, hope you’re doing good/nice to see you again! :) ✌🏼 Yes, very helpful your post, esp. since this question has really drilled into my mind that the correct AC on a NA negated isn’t simply weakening the argument, the curriculum wasn’t overstating when they said the correct AC would DESTROY the argument.
@DaisukeKaga thank you for your post! Your post is a great reminder that even though necessary questions are grouped with strengthen+weaken, a necessary assumption covers(not makes conclusion more likely to be true) a logic hole created by an assumption made in the argument.

For necessary assumption questions with answer choices that strengthen, when I apply the negation test, would weaken the argument.
How can I tell the difference between an AC that strengthens vs a necessary AC on a necessary assumption question then if the negation test both yields answer choices that weaken?
As I typed this, I realized the answer to my question, can someone confirm please if I’m thinking about this correctly: would an incorrect AC weaken only slightly vs the correct AC completely wreak the argument?
These questions are coming to my mind as I review PT 145 Sect 4 Q 26.

AC A negated would be at least one creature that wrecks havoc will be put in the tank, and from the stim, we know creatures that are in the tanks invariably will be deposited when cargo is unloaded at the coasts. Therefore, some environmental havoc is likely at the coast.
If I personalize the argument though, the author could say, “my solution is still better than the current method because there will still be a reduction in environmental havoc wrecked”
E negated though would mean the proposed solution isn’t even viable at all.
Please someone lmk if this way of thinking is how I eliminate strengtheners on necessary assumption questions.
Trying to determine if the reasoning in the stimulus is valid, but in order to finalize my determination, I have a question:
After diagramming the stimulus, the contrapositives of the two premises — can they be combined into one conditional to yield a conditional that matches the conclusion?
If I can combine these contrapositives of the premises, would that conditional match the conclusion conditional?
Once I can determine the reasoning of the argument, I match to the correct AC

Since my ask a tutor button isn’t working, I thought I’d ask for help here. For this question, I thought the unstated premise was: tragedies and comedies major characters have moral qualities that do not reflect the worlds they are in (the logical negation of the classification of romance and satires, which is the moral qualities of major characters do reflect the worlds they are in) . But the correct answer choice, D states the moral qualities of major characters in tragedy’s and comedy’s do not change throughout the action ( the negation of the classification for tragedies and comedies)
Why is the unstated premise here AC D, the negation of the classification for tragedies and comedies rather than the unstated premise I had predicted?
I know this is a SA q btw, I’m trying to push myself to find the gap by thinking what the unstated premises are
