Whenever I find an answer I like, I tend to ignore the following answers (I read them, but don't give them fair weight in my evaluation). How do I avoid this?

In my opinion the best way to avoid this is to have a consistent and accurate method of eliminating answer choices for each question type. It is great that you can identify the right answer easily sometimes, but if you want to make sure its the right one, eliminating all answer choices with a method that you are sure that works is something I would recommend a lot, specially on LR questions.
I find myself doing this sometimes but I think the best practice is to just force yourself to read every AC and either eliminate it or continue if you think it is right or could potentially be right. It can be super beneficial when youre doing timed work to be able to identify the right answer and immediately move on, but on more difficult questions it is often much easier to fall for an incorrect trap AC that seemed right in the moment.
