Hi everyone,
I'm looking for an experienced LSAT tutor who can help me improve as quickly and efficiently as possible. I started with a 130 diagnostic and am currently around 140 after about 2 months of self-study.
I've made solid progress in identifying question types and understanding what each question is asking. On one of my recent LR sections, I scored -13 timed, but improved to -5 on Blind Review. I usually get around +8 on blind review, which makes me think my biggest issues are execution, timing, and consistency rather than understanding the material.
I've been consistently studying with 7Sage, working through the Core Curriculum and learning the foundations rather than just drilling questions. I've completed over 400 Logical Reasoning questions and put in a lot of time, but I think I've reached the point where personalized coaching would help me improve much faster.
My goal is to score 165+ on the LSAT and apply this admissions cycle.

Hi Sam,
Based on what you described, the place I would start is by building a more structured, repeatable process for approaching each question. The goal is to create much greater consistency from question to question by giving you a clear framework for when and how to apply the concepts you've already learned.
Within that framework, we'd then build the specific analytical skills the LSAT requires. That includes things like recognizing passage parts and reasoning methods, controlling the reasoning chain, understanding what each question type is asking you to accomplish, and applying the appropriate answer process to the answer choices. Those are skills that have to be deliberately learned and practiced, and once they begin working together, students usually start earning points much more consistently under timed conditions.
Your blind review also tells me that there's probably another opportunity here. I'd want to identify exactly where your execution is breaking down under time pressure—whether that's timing discipline, decision-making, answer-choice evaluation, or something else—and then target those issues directly.
I've helped a number of students make similar jumps, and I think your goal is a realistic one. My LSAT score was 30 years ago, but I've been teaching students the art of LSAT Reading Comp and Logical Reasoning for the past 15 years.
