College admissions consulting
7Sage Consulting clients are twice as likely to be admitted to selective schools
Our writers and admissions officers work as a team with students to craft compelling applications and make sure they attend the school of their dreams. From first-generation students to international families, we serve everyone who needs us.
Why do families choose us?
Other companies charge $15,000+ for a rigid, one-size-fits-all service. Instead, we work to create packages that are suited to each student's goals and budget. That can mean a few hours of expert help or complete support for five applications. Here are some examples of how families use us.
Rohan was a senior determined to attend a flagship state school. One essay had to carry his application, so he booked time with our team hour by hour until it did.
Hourly Consulting ↓Seong-Jin was an international student with his heart set on one dream school. We shaped his entire application, from narrative strategy to decision day.
Single Application ↓Sofia was a busy junior targeting competitive schools. We supported all five of her top applications, from narrative strategy to interview prep.

The college game has changed drastically in the last 20 years. Things are more competitive, and often more opaque, than ever. Every year, selective colleges choose between thousands of students with comparable grades and test scores. The only way they can do that is by considering each applicant's story, which is why essays, course selection, extracurricular profile, references, and more matter so much. We guide students through all of this, whose parents want the best for them but lack the time or expertise to do it themselves.
We specialize in getting teens to talk about themselves, and we do it as a team: one admissions officer, one writer, supporting your child. Your student's writer will want to know everything they're willing to share about their background, interests, and life experiences. Then they'll think together about how to use those experiences in the essays. Starting with the personal essay and moving on to the supplementals, we talk students through every stage of the drafting process, from brainstorming and outlining to rigorous revisions of complete drafts. Meanwhile, your student's admissions officer will guide them through the Common App, UC Apps, organize their timeline, set deadlines, compose a school list strategy, and more. Then, a panel of admissions officers will simulate an application committee and grade your student's application.
There's a package for nearly every timeline. Families who want the full journey start as early as ninth grade. Most students start the application work itself in the spring or summer of junior year, which leaves comfortable room before early action and early decision deadlines in the fall. And if your student is a senior on a tight clock, faster is absolutely possible — we've seen success with all sorts of timelines.
We can tailor our services to your needs. If your child needs unlimited support on a single application, we can do that. Just an essay? We can do that too. Multiple-year support for all their schools is a popular option as well. If it's possible, we can work out a bespoke package with you, just chat with us!
Our writers are professional writers — award winners educated at Oxford and top MFA programs — and our admissions officers have worked at selective colleges including Ivy League schools. Writers and admissions officers work as a team on every application.
We pair each student with a writer and an admissions officer based on their goals, school list, work style, and personal background. If for any reason the fit isn't right, we'll accommodate a switch, no questions asked.
We're with your student until they commit to a school — including waitlist support, interview prep, and scholarship negotiation after the applications are submitted.
We split the purchase price into a set of monthly payments. You pay the first today, and then we'll bill you each month until you're paid up. No interest, no shady terms, and no third-party companies. Note: once you buy, you are obligated to complete all the payments.
One-on-one sessions with a dedicated top-percentile scorer who builds a personalized study plan around your student's results.
