We simplified the top-level menu by removing the notes icon. The overwhelming majority of you weren't using it there. Instead, you were using notes while in a lesson or reviewing a single question, so that's where we've kept it.
Where to find notes now:
Lessons: Click the note icon in the lesson to see and add your notes.
Single question page: Click the notes icon to open the notes sidebar.
Review tester: Nothing has changed. Notes are still right where they were.

Not sure why you'd make this change before implementing an "All Notes" function. Regardless of whether someone used this feature or not, it didn't add any clutter. Now, for those who used the Notes tab for things outside of specific lessons, we simply can't. I would use this section for rough notes on miscellaneous tasks, thought processes, or things I wanted to clean up before formally adding them. Now, all of that has simply been deleted because it wasn't tied to a specific lesson.
I see this as a mild inconvenience for some users and irrelevant to others, so I'm not really sure what problem this change was intended to solve.

i used it often and reviewed it often, so other than clicking a specific lesson i can't do that anymore? my notes don't appear on any of the fast track lessons now either. i used that so often and it was one of my favorite features honestly
They're still available after opening up the notes pane from a lesson or question!
But stay tuned, a better "all notes" is something we're working on. @DavidBusis

So there is no place where you can click and see all your notes, without hunting for a question that you left a note on?
i guess, i can't find my notes even doing that though and there's so much i reviewed and its harder to access it

Nooooo, I loved having all my notes accessible, how are we able to find the notes we already made????
Just because some didn’t use it, doesn’t mean it was not valuable. I really hope you reconsider this decision the future.

Is it no longer possible to create untagged notes? Because it seems like every note must now be tagged to a specific question or lesson, unless I'm mistaken. I've found it very useful to keep a few general notes not associated with any particular question or lesson!
