Writing this to see if anyone has any advice on tackling Link Assumption Questions. I take my LSAT in November, and this is one of my biggest weaknesses. YouTube does not have many videos on the subject for a deep understanding and I am struggling. There is also just the tag section on here but no detailed video or explanation.

Commenting as I am also struggling with link assumption, and hopefully boosting your post :)
following!
What specifically do you struggle with? Is it recognizing the question, the flawed link, or etc? Aside from recommending drilling these question types, as I think the more you see of these questions, the better you will feel about them, simply through the repetition and ability to see why you were wrong when you do answer incorrectly. I can maybe help better if I know what exactly is getting you stuck, but will try to help w the 7sage example.
A meal at the steakhouse is more expensive than a meal at the fast-food truck. So, we should eat at the fast-food truck instead of the steakhouse.
Although this is much simpler compared to what you will likely see on an actual lsat question, the flaw here is that these premises were linked despite us not really knowing enough. They assume the option should be the fast food truck, and while it is cheaper, its a pretty weak justification. What if the steakhouse is only 10 mins away v 1 hr fast food truck, and they need to eat within 30 minutes? To bring it to a real world example, think about you arguing with someone and they always say coffee must cause headaches because every time I drink coffee I have a headache. They essentially jump to their conclusions without considering anything else. In an assumption question, the only way this could be somewhat of a correct link is assuming he does not consume anything prior to the coffee or has any conditions that could predispose him to headaches after caffeine consumption. I am not sure if this helps, but feel free to send a dm or reply here so I can hopefully help you and Jordan feel better about this!
