Well - time to settle in and plan to have my goal score by June 2027 lol
@haena Thank you so much! I greatly appreciate this information! Best of luck in your application process !! :)
How long are application fee waivers from schools themselves valid for? There is a LSAC forum in July 2027, would app fee waivers be given then? Or would it only be once applications are open?
(The rest of this is regarding DV so please TW):
— for the c&f section(s), I will preface that I have never been charged or the defendant or anything like that. However, I was the victim of domestic violence and in the summer of 2015 the state police were called (three times by me) to remove my abuser from the household. I never filed charges (that I remember, it was a very traumatic time), but there was definitely police reports made simply because they were called out. To note, I was about 20 at that time.
Additionally, my abuser was in jail for three days before I was manipulated by our mother (abuser was half brother), to let it go I guess? I don’t think I ever went through the process of filing charges, but he was bailed out and nothing came of it from my end.
Is this something I have to disclose? I’m fine with doing it but I was never charged myself (clearly). I also had a restraining order placed against my half brothers fiancée (at the time), while we were both under 18 and in high school. It expired by now (I’m 31 lol) and we are no contact. Does this need to be disclosed?
Commenting as I am also struggling with link assumption, and hopefully boosting your post :)
Hi, so sorry if this is already an option and I'm missing it - but I'm wondering if there is any way to change the amount of drill questions that are presented to you? I've attached (a rather large, apologies about that) snip of what I'm talking about. I'm going through the logical reasoning cheat sheet and drilling each question type to work on the specific questions that I struggle with. (Also the cheat sheet is honestly such an amazing resource!)
However, whenever I click "start drill", it's only 5 questions. I have already changed the default in Study --> Drills, Sections, PTs and set it from 5 to 10 (second photo) - but when I go back to the sheet, it's still only 5 questions. Is this a setting I can change or are we at 5 per drill via the cheat sheet? Thank you in advance!! 7Sage is honestly amazing as someone who works FT and has been out of grad school since 2020.

Hi all, I'm signed up for the October LSAC JD Digital Law School Forum that starts tomorrow (13th), 4-8pm, and I am wondering if anyone has attended one of these before? I'm not sure specifically what to expect, I won't be applying until (next) cycle, (Fall 2027) but I'm always overly prepared lol.
Any guidance, tips, tricks, hints, suggestions, anything, send my way please!
I emailed LSAC about this but I see a licensed therapist weekly, and a psychiatrist every six months. Obviously the psychiatrist is MD board certified in behavioral health etc - but since I see my therapist weekly and she would know the most about my particular situation, (ADHD with a very specific anxiety regarding timing/count downs/any type of “running late”), and they essentially said any licensed professional would be best. Okay but that didn’t answer my question lol.
who should I ask to fill out the paperwork? They’re both qualified professionals lol
Hi all - I took a semi diagnostic PT (141 I think) and BR'd a 164 (actual was 157). I've been finishing up the core curriculum so I wanted to get a baseline. After my (halfway decent) PT score, the next day I took an LR section (pt 126 S3) and b o m b e d it. I mean - disheartening lol. I think I got more questions wrong than right - I was able to BR it back into single digits of wrongness, but holy cow was that demoralizing. (This was yesterday). Today, I took a RC section (pt 128 S1) and actual was 159, BR'd to 170. I'm not planning on applying until next cycle, and I don't have a test date scheduled yet (thinking maybe February or June/July, August at the latest) - however, is this normal? I am reviewing what types of questions I'm getting wrong, and I'm sure it'll become easier as I actually go through the study plan/take more sections and start to understand the explanations... but I'd like to hear y'alls experiences from when you first started studying?
Thank you all!
As the other commenter said, write an addendum. With your softs / LORs / 180, I think you truly have a great application! Splitters are relatively common and I think any school would be lucky to have you.
As someone who is a splitter applicant as well, I think you have solid chances - especially if your softs/PS reflect your growth. When writing your statements/addendums, be sure not to blame professors etc. You can mention that their teaching styles were something for you to adapt to, but make sure you take accountability as well. That factor in itself is more important - law schools will want to see your ability to take accountability and responsibility :) With your scores and LSAT goal score, I truly believe the holistic part of your application is what will make the biggest difference.
Eek thank you SO much for this!! It makes me feel better and less discouraged!!!!
Hi all - I'm aiming to take the LSAT in Feb - May for the Fall 2027 application cycle, and this is my first full PT test. I took some LR sections before, but mainly have gone through the study plan/foundations that 7Sage created. I only really started buckling down and studying daily/with discipline within September.
I think I'm looking for...support? Reassurance? I am aiming for 170 or higher, so scoring 157 (albeit on my first PT, kind of a diagnostic, with no rush to take an official LSAT anytime soon) makes me nervous. I'm a perfectionist, struggle with imposter syndrome, and trying not to be discouraged, lol.
Logically, I can push off the test until August of 2027 of course, but is this a decent LSAT PT score to baseline off of? According to the analysis, I struggled on Conditional Translation in LR and "purpose" questions for RC Section 1.
It's kind of interesting to me that my score became better as the sections progressed, maybe I was really nervous for my first PT, and then calmed down as the questions came through?
Any thoughts, guidance, wisdom, encouragement, is welcome!
Oh, awesome!! Thank you so very much, I hope everything goes smoothly for you :)
Hi all! I’m planning on applying during the Fall 2027 cycle and while I’m studying for the LSAT currently, I’m wondering about CAS/LSAC app timing.
Specifically, is there such a thing as “too early” to start putting your application together? I’ve been out of grad school since 2020 so I’m not waiting on grades or anything like that, and I keep in contact with a handful of professors both from UG and grad. Here’s my thinking and I’d like advice or thoughts:
For each of my profs (one from UG, one from grad): send an email asking for a LOR and attach updated resume along with my planned personal statement.
I haven’t purchased CAS yet from LSAC, but is there any reason not to? Or, is there any reason not to start putting it together slowly over the next year, so I don’t have to rush and stress next fall more than I already will?
To note, I am a working professional so my “free” time is limited, hence the desire to start early and chip away at things I can do now.
I’m not considering asking for LORs right this minute, but probably by April or May, if I can. I don’t know if the LOR portal or whatever LSAC provides is open year round or only once Sept 1st hits per cycle.
Any and all information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks everyone!
This gives me hope!!
