I use the old site's quick view option to copy and paste images into a doc, then print it

You just need to find the "quick view" button at the top of a question (usually I see it in reviews or in drills in the CC) and copy and paste the image. Dont think it would work if you create a drill and try to copy/paste as you take it
@timezonereaper can't do that here right now but it's on our roadmap.
