I took my first LSAT in June without accommodations and totally feel you on the strain part! I'm interested in hearing what steps you take and how to successfully get needed accommodations. Thanks for starting this thread.

Hi! I'm currently considering doing so for September, I took it without in June and got through it but accommodations would def take away a lot of unnecessary strain. I have a doctor's letter from getting ADHD accommodations in college, do you know if the bar for getting them approved is generally higher than universities or similar?

@linyang55 That's a good question; unfortunately I don't know... my initial thought is it might not hurt to include that info in the request (that you've previously gotten academic accommodations) but that's just a thought...

Good for you! I have a high pain condition and just got them approved. I actually had ChatGPT help me understand which ones would make most sense for me, and come up with ones I hadn't thought of like modified positioning and breaks. Then I drafted a letter for my PCP and asked if she would be willing to provide a version of it. ChatGPT also helped me with the online form to make sure I didn't miss anything. This is my first time requesting academic accommodations but everything went OK. Good luck :)

@laila678 Thank you so much for sharing about your process! That's a great idea about drafting a letter for your PCP to work off of, and to leverage AI to help make sense of what would be the best fit and fill everything out sufficiently. Thanks again for the insights, and best of luck to you as well!
