Guys, I am freaking out. I took the Nov. 9th LSAT at a test center, and used my military ID with no issue. It is my only photo ID that has my married name on it, since I just legally changed my name a few months ago. Since I didn't actually test virtually, I wasn't aware that I can't take a picture of my military ID that has my legal name, so I had to submit a picture of my license for writing-- which has my maiden name on it. I created the account with my maiden name (literally in my username), and since I am in another state for military for another year, it is almost impossible for me to go back to my home state just to change my dl. My passport says my maiden name too, since I got it in 2019; my passport and license don't even expire for several years. I emailed LSAC a picture of my mil. ID anyways because I am so worried and upset that my writing might be cancelled or hinder my test because of this small discrepancy. Has anyone had a similar situation? What should I do? The LSAC rep. I just spoke to was rude and unhelpful. I really hope the email with my other ID will be enough; I legit still have my old SSN too with my maiden name. Ugh!

Hi guys, I'm a first-generation student. I took a diagnostic the other day and scored 135 (without any prior studying). Although I've been feeling discouraged, I am giving myself 6 months before I take my first real LSAT. Is it possible to expect/score this high with this amount of time? Do you guys have any tips for self-studying?

I've been putting in so many hours and the progress is slow, I'm going to say its THERE, but slow!! And that's the challenge to push through the slow progress, because it's easy to get distracted. I have multiple crying sessions throughout the week while studying for it, I'll just have mini breakdown every couple days. How is this journey affecting you? Does anyone else have crying sessions while studying for the LSAT? LMAOO. For me, time is such a killer, I feel like only adding 10 mins to the exam would make me do so much better.

Hey all,

My internet cut out the last 30 seconds of our LR section review. Apologies for the confusion it caused anyone. In any case, thanks for all in attendance and see you guys next week!

P.S. I'm still looking for cat name suggestions.

So today I took my LSAT Writing and felt so lucky with the prompt I got. However, a bit into writing, I realized my grammarly extension was on and I accidentally opened one of the suggestions.. I avoided it for the rest of the exam, but now I'm worried my sample is going to be flagged and cancelled because it'll consider it cheating. This was my first time using proctorU and unlike proctortrack, it didn't tell me which softwares to shut down before the test, so I didn't even think about it. I'm so upset because I got so lucky with my prompt and now I'm thinking I'll likely have to write it again. Does anyone else have any experience with this happening? if so, what happened?I

I plan to retake the LSAT in January and am wondering how hard it is to have accomodations approved and if law schools will see if I had them?

For those of you who've experienced this already, what materials did you need to provide to the LSAC? I had accomodations in college, would that make it more likely for me to have them approved for the LSAT?

Hi, I'm looking for some advice. My test is on Friday the 10th and I'm at the point where I think I'm experiencing burnout. I started a PT today but have no motivation to finish it. I'm PT'ing around where I want to be but the test I'm doing right now is not going well. What's the best approach before my test on Friday. Any advice would be appreciated thank you!

Hey 7Sagers,

Exciting news! We've upgraded our testing platform to include the option to practice the newly structured August 2024 LSAT format (LR/LR/RC). Now, when you're taking a preptest, you can choose from the following versions:

  • Legacy - The classic Preptest format (LG/LR/LR/RC).
  • Current - The modern, 3-section LSAT (LG/LR/RC), which will remain in use until June 2024.
  • August 2024 - The upcoming, revised LSAT format with double LR sections, set to become standard starting with the August 2024 exam.
  • We're thrilled to offer this enhancement to our platform, ensuring you have the most relevant and up-to-date tools for your LSAT prep no matter which version of the test you're targeting.

    Warm regards,

    The 7Sage Team

I am scheduled to take my first LSAT this weekend. I can't seem to break a 150, however, and am thinking that I definitley will need to retake it in January. I want to get my applications in before the end of the year, which is why I am conflicted about taking the LSAT in two months. Because my UGPA is way lower than I'd like it to be, I want to show law schools a higher score, though, and feel like that should take priority.

I have been studying for months now and I feel like I have hit a plateau, which is pretty discouraging. If anyone has advice or has been in a similar situation, I'm all ears. Thank you!

I been having a hard time overcoming this plateau I been in for the past 2 months. I finally saw a difference in how I engaged with the material with my lsat PT and saw a small increase. What I been doing has been making sure I have a strategy for every LR question, but I still have a hard timing getting those level 4-5 questions correct. I know the way to get better at logic games is to just do them everyday. If anything has helped anyone overcome a plateau I'm all ears. I been studying for 5 months now and taking the January exam and I'm just becoming frustrated because feels like anything I do isn't helping. Any comments will be very helpful even if it has to do with a strategy for a question type.

I took my first diagnostic LSAT in 2019 and got a 151. Last week I opened my LSAC account to see my final score from my third take: 171. To say I'm ecstatic is an understatement. It's been a long, long journey to get here. Through battling an anxiety disorder and, until recently, undiagnosed OCD. Through working multiple jobs at once and trying to study in my down time. Through navigating the normal ups and downs of life. It has been the hardest and most rewarding thing I've ever done. It took one year of procrastination, two years of on and off studying, and one year of dedicated, give-it-everything I've got studying to get here. And you can do it too! Don't worry about other people's timelines, their successes or failures. Focus on your goal and work tirelessly to get there. I believe in you just as much as I believed in myself!

Thank you 7sage for my first introduction to the LSAT, for walking me through conditional logic, diagramming, and question types. Oh, and for your stellar logic games curriculum. Saved my life. Thank you to LR Perfection to finally getting me consistently scoring -0 to -5 on LR sections. Thank you to Powerscore for their LR discussion forums and their podcast. Thank you to this community and the LSAT subreddit community for answering questions, alleviating fears, and encouraging me to keep going. And thank you to me, for sticking with it.

[Edit: Update complete! Total downtime 16 minutes. Thank you for your patience!]

7Sage will be temporarily unavailable while we update the servers.

Pacific Time: 10pm Monday, Nov 6 late night

Eastern Time: 1am Tuesday, Nov 7 early morning

We expect that the site will be available again in an hour, hopefully less. But even if things go horribly wrong, it will definitely be back online by the next morning.

Please avoid doing a PrepTest or Problem Set near this time so that your work is not interrupted. Sorry for any inconvenience!

Hello everyone! I have been studying for the LSAT for quite a while and took the test and completely let me anxiety get the best of me and my mind went blank. I am studying again for hopes of applying Fall 2025 and plan to take the test in April 2024. Although I am not done the Core Curriculum, I know I am in desperate help especially for Logical Reasoning. On my previous prep tests, I always get -10 to -14/15 on each section. I am seeing slow improvement in the logic games section because I am using the foolproof method. However, I am thinking about getting a tutor from 7Sage. For those currently working with a tutor, do you recommend it? I work full time and am saving up for law school but am scared that tutoring may just not work for me and I just blew away money that could have been used for law school tuition.

My thoughts are that the November test will allow me to become familiar with the testing center (the physical environment) as well as the time constraints and noise that is hard to replicate 100% by myself just to be on the safe side. The con is the admissions committee viewing a cancelled score unfavorably on my application, and potential waste of time and resources. I plan to take the January test after studying hard for 2 months. Thank you so much in advance for your responses!

    I took a “diagnostic” PT 57 and scored a 158.

    -12 LG, -6 LR, -7 LR, -5 RC

Diagnostic in quotes bc I took the LSAT 8 years ago and scored a 157. After lurking on the discussion board, I’m realizing there’s a lot more prep that I can do. Originally I was planning to take LSAT Aug 2024, but I’m leaning towards prepping for the June 2024 test and retaking without LG if necessary. I’m hopeful that my low LG score means a higher ceiling and I’m worried about gambling on what the second LR might look like on the first administration w/out LG.

My plan is to work through the Foolproof book for the next 4 weeks and then start 7Sage CC in December and hit PTs/BR hard starting in March. I work full time (HS teacher) and don’t have a ton of disposable income to put towards prep/tutors etc.

Thoughts on this plan? Target is 167+

Any advice about this or people In similar positions for next cycle?
