Hi all,

I've started to more consistently score in 170-172 range though my peak was a 174 over a month ago. Any tips on how to get into the mid-to-high 170s. For context, my undergrad GPA ain't stellar (3.66, mostly due to premed classes) and I plan on applying to Penn, UMich, UVa, Duke, and G'town. I'm taking the test in Jan.

My issue is that I don't just have one weakness. For example, in my last two PTs my score got dragged down by -4 in LG (silly mistakes I should've caught) and -7 in LR (PT 59, first LR section). There are some areas I know need work, like Parallel LR Qs and not freaking out when I hit a challenging game in LG. But sometimes things will crop up, like SA and NA questions, that I thought I had a handle on. I do think I'm getting better at RC, for a long while I'd get 3 to 4 wrong and be unable to figure out the right answer in BR, in my last 3 PTs I've managed to get the right answers in BR (-4) and then went -1 in the last 2.

I know a low 170 is a good score but I consider it the bare minimum.

Hi everyone,

As the November LSAT will be offered as a FLEX test, would it be best to continue taking four-section PrepTests, or would it be best to switch to taking the three-section Flex tests?

Alternatively, would it be beneficial to do a mix of four-section tests and three-section tests (i.e. two of each per week) as opposed to exclusively taking one or the other (or taking mostly one type but taking the other type once in a while)?

I understand that it's important to simulate actual test-day conditions as accurately as possible, which I think is the main advantage to switching to the three-section practice tests. But the advantage that I see in taking the four-section test is that it includes 2 LR sections, which means more LR practice (although I suppose that I could take the three-section test and save the second LR section for another time).

Thanks in advance for your suggestions and good luck to everyone in all of their endeavors!

So I took the July Flex, got a 164. I only used the Khan Academy course. I signed up for October Flex, did CC, have been doing PT's (one a day), and am averaging ~172 (with a few 178s thrown in!) What would people recommend I do in the final two weeks before the test? I'm planning to use analytics to decide which LR Question Types to review, but would appreciate any other advice folks have!

I am doing some of the recent PTs and find myself struggle with the relationship among ideal experiment, control groups and causation. (eg: May2020 LR Q11, Q14). I know that ideal experiment could produce a casual outcome, but I still tend to make mistakes on questions testing the ideas of having control groups or of similar concepts. Are there any recommended material that I could read to better understand those concepts on the LSAT?

Many thanks!

took it september 2nd, called lsac three times lady claims my prompt is there and there are no flags or violations and she contacted someone within the departments that handles it, I'm guessing IT, to see what the issue is. LSAC's email this morning said those that took it before the 10th should be able to see their scores, just sitting here waiting on LSAC. Anyone else experiencing the same or similar thing? talk about frustrating

I got Score Preview for the August LSAT and can't decide if I should cancel my score. Is it bad that law schools will see that I canceled a score? I can't seem to find many opinions on this since the score preview is new.

I don't even know what to do anymore! My first test (In person last year) was my best score despite me PTing around high 160s that time. I have basically just been doing practice flexes for the past 3-4 months and somehow still scored my worst on the August flex despite PTing consistently 174+ (even two 180s!) I really don't know where to go from here. I plan on taking November and know I can break 170 if not do even better. I would really appreciate some advice from some people who have been through this themselves.

Hi! I’m looking for study partners available to meet up online. I’m hoping to score as high as I can and would love for someone who is motivated to do the same. Please lmk if interested.

I'm looking for thoughts on my current situation-- I'm a first-time test taker, and I have studied consistently since around the end of May. I planned on taking the LSAT once, and maybe twice if I drastically underperformed. Sadly, I have let the Nov. date get away from me.

Originally, my plan was to test in October since I wanted to get applications in around Thanksgiving-- but now I'm wondering if I should reschedule. My goal score was a 165, and until about two weeks ago I was PT'ing consistently in the low 160s, with a -4 or -6 on LR, -4/-5 on RC.

Recently though, something clicked for me in LR, and I've gone -0/-1 several times, along with several -1 to -3 scores on RC. My last PT (92) was my best, a 168 with LR -1, RC -3, and LG -7--which is actually one of my best LG sections to date. LG has killed my score since the very beginning and it is so frustrating.

Anyway, I say all that to ask, in light of my recent improvements-- should I pay the fee, postpone to Nov., and try to find some help with LG, or just stick with October? I hate wondering how much higher my score could have been with a better LG performance, but I don't know if I have enough time to improve any on LG/ if the time I'd lose on early application submission is worth it... anyway, any help/advice is appreciated!

How many of the study sets do y'all do before moving on to the next topic? I realized I should probably hold off some to come back to so I can study with them later. I'm at the point where if I get a consistent 5/5 on timed and BR I move on, but looking for feedback and any recommendations from y'all! LMK good luck studying

So....just went online to submit the final copy of my personal statement and it looks like the site has crashed. I've tried it from multiple different computers, asked my friends to try from home but they're also getting the same internal error message. Called admissions, no answer. Anyone else experiencing this?

Recently on a reddit post I found people saying it was okay to use command F on the flex test for RC and refer back to a specific part on a passage. This sounded kind of "sus" to me but I wanted to make sure and ask people here that might know. But if it is allowed that would be a major hack for myself and I'm sure many others, as I often have an idea of what a question is referring too and all i need is a way to quickly go back to that exact part in the passage and confirm my thoughts.
