What is your definition of "takes for granted" esp in weakening questions? Failure to appreciate/acknowledge, or accepting something fully as the truth?

I submitted most of mine Jan 15th, and just a few days ago I started getting emails about them being forwarded for review & out of the "processing" stage.
Were your PT scores representative of your test score?
For NA questions, some of the answers are SA and NA together. I'm having trouble with this because there are other "trap" choices that I choose that wreck the argument and look correct. I can identify the SA answer, but i think it is wrong because it is too strong.
My question is: If there is a SA answer choice for an NA question, is it right every time? How can I tell when they're looking for both when it is not indicated in the question stem?
Has anyone taken the LSAT without finishing the course? How did that go? I don't think I'm going to have time to finish, but I would like to.
It just says it's "strongly recommended" that I send it in the same addendum as my personal statement. I might just email them.
To anyone who took September or June, what were the extra sections? I'm taking the upcoming test and really really hoping it's not RC.
The instructions "strongly recommend" to send in my resume WITH my personal statement. I didn't, because I didn't remember to, because that is weird.
The online checker system says my application is "complete" but on the checklist, "resume" is unchecked.
Should I try and email them my resume? Or do you think that would annoy them?
I have noticed that when I try and switch question types a bunch..i.e. take a practice test, that I do much worse than if i can do 2 or three of the same type then move to the next question type, like in the lesson. Has anyone tried to mark the question types first? I know it would be a time sink though..
PS I timed myself marking the question type and it took me 2:30.
My score is on the decline. I have not been able to study as much since fall undergrad semester started, and my score just keeps going down every week. I do not have time to BR and re-do the CC due to undergrad classes / being a parent. If you had to choose between spending more time blind reviewing, or spending time reviewing the lessons.... which would you choose? I'm taking the December test.
P.S. My declining test scores,I have blind reviewed all but the last one:
August16th, PT 78...157
August 21st, PT 37... 152
August 28th, PT 38... 154
Sept 3rd, PT 55... 151
Sept 12th, PT 60.... 151
Sept 18th, PT 59.... 145 !!
Sept 25th, PT 58... 146 !!
I can't find the link to BR Calendar for the online study groups Wednesday evenings. Does anyone have the link? I'd like to do the PT that's scheduled this week
Did you guys use a passport photo to upload for your ticket, or did you take a really good selfie at home?
I sent some applications in after I requested my transcripts, but BEFORE they were processed into LSAC. Now, about a week later, the transcripts are there and my applications are in the 'lsac completed' portion of the website. My question is, do I email the schools and tell them that it is now complete?
One of the schools emailed me just to tell me that my app was incomplete (before the transcripts were processed). Should I email just them? I signed a binding contract with them, so they might be more interested in viewing the whole thing before the other "regular" ones.
I am filling out applications on lsac that require "traffic violations and parking tickets". Being 37 and have lived in many different places, I have no way of recalling all of these! I have even gotten traffic citations in the mail for up to 5 years prior that I didn't realize I had.
Also, I never paid a parking ticket on a Navy base in San Diego (circa 2010). Nothing happened. Can they tell? I have no idea even who to pay for that..it was issued by some agency that I also do not recall the name of.
I guess I should delete this post.
I messaged you
I just took sec 1 of pt79. Has anyone else? I did awful!! My score was much lower than most of my LR sections. I am worried.
Has anyone sent their applications over while the transcripts are still being sent over?
I am looking to find a place on 7sage (preferably a pdf document) that has all of the 9 valid argument forms written out. Is there a pdf of these? Thanks!
I have started my senior undergrad year, and can only study around 10 hours per week instead of 20-30 that I was in the summer. My PT score has decreased over the last few tests! Is it because of the decreased time spent on studying??
Oh, right I wrote that right before i started writing you. Check now!
messaged you
I will be taking the September LSAT at the college I currently attend. At least 5 of my scantron tests returned to me in undergrad classes had grading mistakes, and since I caught the mistake I salvaged a few points.
Am I unable to make sure this does not happen on the LSAT? I don't suppose they give the graded tests back, right?
oh good. I filled up about the same... all of front and part of back. I was worried because I had extra time, which was pretty weird to be sitting for the LSAT with extra time.
One of my applications had a character max, and I couldn't put all the schools there. I just put a competing one.
I am taking the December LSAT. I have no idea what I'll get, as my PT's range from 152 to 165. Should I wait until after I get my score to start filling out all of the applications on LSAC? I just don't know what schools I will get into. It ALL depends on my lsat score...I have 4.0 GPA and am confident I have an interesting enough life for a decent p-statement.
Hello all! I only have a few days left of access as well. I'm age 37. I have just kind of drifted along in life.. had a small business, worked at a gym for a while, then joined the military at 30. I started college because the GI Bill stipend paid more than my job at the time, and here I am! I have been accepted to 5 law schools and have been offered full and generous scholarships to a few. I'm stoked to find this thread. Good luck to everyone!
I did not, and I am regretting it. My last section was LG, and I was feeling pretty defeated.
For those who have taken the LSAT, can I view my answer sheet along with the correct answers? I did a lot of erasing, which might make a fake-wrong answer. I see the portion of LSAC that shows PDF's after the LSAT is taken. Can I view it there?
I just wrote my Yale 250 in 3rd person. Is that weird? It's an argument about the origin of jazz music.
How many letters of recommendation is good? 2? 3?
Hey, I'm a mom! I do not think there are many of us in the group. How old are your children? My daughter is 5 this week.
She has never been in daycare, but I saved up all last year for mon-thurs preschool/daycare so I could study for the LSAT. She has been attending since the summer. I took the December LSAT, so I am just waiting around for my score, you know, freaking out.
I don't work, but I am a full time undergrad senior. I tried to take fairly easy classes this semester so I could spend more time on studying for the LSAT. It worked! I was able to spend about 10 hours per week plus mothering and school.
@ I signed up for Feb. I called LSAC, they said since the december scores come out later, I can request a refund for Feb if I decide not to take it.
Which one do you guys look at, US News? There's that other site, "law-schools.startclass.com".
What are you looking at to decide which is best, bar passage rate? or employment rate?
Also, I've been offered some scholarships to local and lower ranked schools. They are not in the region that i want to live. How hard is it to move right after going to law school? Or is it a better choice to forfeit the scholarships and go to the higher-ranked schools in the State that I want to move? PS. my tuition is paid by the VA so the scholarship money would be extra money.
how many do you guys think you got wrong on the non-logic games? I am frantically trying to figure out what I got because, 32 days! ugh.
@ I don't remember a shipment..And the LR sections were pretty doable.
@ I feel you... I screwed up both games, big time. @ Sorry to ask so many questions about the curve...but do you think they'd curve a single section, or do they take into account if it has easier sections that accompany it?
@ Do the 7sage scores reflect the curve? Or is there not much of a difference.
@ Thank you for the link! I'll be hoping for a -14 curve, then.
@ I am feeling the same way. I was depending on my LG skills to make up for the other sections, but I had to guess on those two hard games.
@
you're likely to get a generous scale.
Is there a good website or thread that explains the scale, or can you sum it up?
I remember the cat food, birds and nests, iguana on island, and the organ ones. My I didn't have an experimental LR
Also, do they make up the difficulties by giving us easier sections? I thought RC was pretty interesting, i.e. not as hard as it usually is.
I had a super easy experimental LG section, so I was all psyched....until I got to my last section (the REAL LG section) and had to guess most of the last two games (trading buildings and watercolors). Is there any way they'll curve it? Take some questions out? Why the hell was that so hard??
LG is my best section. I usually get -2, or -3 wrong. I think I got about half of these wrong.
I have only gotten one back (applied two weeks ago) but my online status shows I've been accepted two other places as well. Just knowing I got into one was such a relief.
I think I'm about done editing it, and am pressed for time! I'd like to get my apps in before mid jan. If anyone is willing to give me feedback, or even willing to trade personal statements for review, please PM me your email address. Thanks!!
What are you guys doing tomorrow? Are you going to study at all, or just relax? Go over any lessons as a refresher?
@ I went ahead and did a couple days ago, and I'm so glad I did. They responded with simply "Thank you!"
@ Not really, but definitely a target school for me and not a safety school. It's a big weight off my shoulders just to know I got in "somewhere".
Update: I just got an acceptance letter. (Two weeks & one day after i submitted application)
