Hey there,
What worked for me while studying for the LSAT was to try to mentally compartmentalize each section of the test. I often struggled with thinking about what I might have gotten right/wrong on prior sections leading me to lose focus on the last section. I was able to improve on this by just focusing on what was right in front of me. Better to think of the test as ~100 individual moments of pure focus rather than one long marathon.
Hope that helps!
Hey there,
I absolutely went through something very similar when preparing to take the LSAT. I recommend taking a step back from the LSAT for a few days before test day; sometimes it can be nice to just trust in your skills and abilities instead of trying to get a bit of extra studying in. I also think that having a morning routine on test day can be good. What worked for me was a short workout in the morning, a filling breakfast and a bit of sunlight. Either way, good luck!
Hey there,
To begin with I would absolutely take a step back and breath, this test is difficult for everyone when they first approach it so there is no need to stress at all. If you still have not begun preparing for the exam, then I would also consider postponing taking the LSAT until after November. It is very common for people to raise their scores by 10 or 20 points after dedicated studying so it may make sense to wait until you have studied for the test before considering taking it. I would also encourage you to take a look at some of the lessons here at 7sage if you are just beginning to study; they can be a great place to begin learning the basics and structure of the exam. Good luck!
Hey there,
So I have had a similar thing happen before, but with LR instead where my scores dropped suddenly after I took about a week off from studying because of the flu. The important thing to keep note of is that this is just a temporary drop driven by some external factor, not a reason to think that your actual ability has gone down. I would recommend doing a couple of easier RC passages to reset your rhythm before trying a section again. Taking a break can also help.
Either way, good luck!
