after watching the video it makes sense with the answer, but is anyone else having a difficult time inferring "limited number of environmental battles" to "resource constraint?" with time pressure on the actual exam, what is a strategy for inferring these connections when they may not be obvious at first or even a second read? i feel dumb..

My question and maybe it is talked about in later videos, but could we not simply say that modifiers are context (thus not 'part' of the argument), like we learn in the arguments unit?
b and e are different not just in the context of time passing but also the word "any" in answer b. i originally chose E and got it wrong but then realized in blind review that it had to be B because it uses the most similar words to the stimulus. answer e does not use similar words to the stimulus and we know nothing about the passage of time. it was really that key word "any" that made me realize answer B was superior to E.
