@Cambridge.UK I was also stuck on that aspect! Honestly i didnt really like both answers because A felt as if we had to infer something about Pedro's statement and C felt like we had to infer something from Nick's statement.
I think ultimately, C is the strongest because for disagree questions it has to be smth that MBT for one speaker, and MBF for the other. We know that Pedro explicitly states that accepting a donation does not oblige the university to give the donors any special privileges. Nick using the family's decade long donations for support of his value judgement is what shows that he is implicitly that this SHOULD give the university a privilege to the donors.
so.. just to be clear, in the conditional chain of this question - the general assembly starting at 6pm is the logical equivalent of /begin at 7pm? is that how we're supposed to link the contrapositives?
I was between C and E for 17, but I still cant pinpoint exactly why C is wrong. The author states that the primary motivators in establishing the paths may have been "whether fear of harm from wildlife or spirits, or of simply getting lost." - so doesnt the fear of getting lost bring C into light for support? they had maps bc they were scared of getting lost?
I can see that E is ultimately the stronger answer, just wanted to know if my reasoning for C is flawed.
