@CarolineHaskins yes, I also thought it to be a sub conclusion since it receives support, but ultimately the last premise got my attention because it received stronger support and then I remembered in a previous lesson we were taught how since (for/since/because) is usually followed by a premise but can contain a conclusion.

@LivM I also struggled with that but I looked back at the conclusion indicator words and remembered that hence was one of the words on the list. And then I used “why should I believe the conclusion” by plugging that part in and only referenced the claim given to us to see if it supported it.

Would #2 be considered a valid argument in the sense that the premise states if he were guilty, he would've gone to the cops but he didn't so he must've been innocent?
