Absent conditional reasoning, I always try to create a motto for parallel questions. Such as: "If not one, then the other." Or vice versa. Or "Feelings aren't facts." And then simply test the motto against each answer choice.
I didn't choose 'C' because it seemed as though Paul called into question not one but two of Sarah's assumptions. However, reading it closer it looks like Paul concedes to Sarah's being forced to volunteer premise but then calls into question Sarah's non-habit-forming premise. No?
Composition fallacy. Just because a soccer team is great, it doesn’t mean that every individual on the team is great.
When I am doing a strengthen/weaken question and applying POE, when I come across an answer choice with the word "some" in it, I will eliminate it as a correct answer choice due to its weak logical force.
Is this a foolproof strategy?
I whiffed on this by choosing B. I glossed over "moderate levels of spending". As we all know, the LSAT will punish you for careless reading.
"No student is chosen for Gryffindor unless they exhibit bravery." What strategy should we apply when we see two different conditional indicators such as "No" and "unless"? As a general principle.
When you negate the sufficient and necessary conditions without flipping them, you committed a Mistaken Negation. When you reverse them without negating them you committed a Mistaken Reversal. These were terms I picked up from another prep company that stuck and are very helpful to me at least.

I went through a different test prep company to assist with my personal statement, all other relevant essays, and my resume. I want to make sure I am putting my best foot forward when I apply to law schools for the 2027 term and need to have a second set of eyes to review my completed essays.

@Kevin_Lin Hi Kevin, I completely agree with your assessment of Demon since I was using them for LSAT study for months until I realized I wasn't improving at the rate I expected. I just signed up for 7Sage Live for the reasons you state above. Demon's core strategy for students is "you have to understand what you're reading and if you don't you won't answer questions correctly." That's not helpful. That goes without saying. It's just very hollow. Lacks substance.
I am in the same boat. I feel as though I wrote this. I also signed up for the Demon Basic plan but cannot get out of the 140s. And when I take sections, I usually get half of them wrong. I don't know what to do. I plan on signing up for the November LSAT but need to score at least a 160 which seems like impossible at this point. I'm at a loss. Don't know what to do to improve. Sometimes I get very difficult questions correct and very easy ones wrong. I'm all over the place.
Perhaps it's my mindset. I hear these stories of people jumping 20-30 points and hope this could be me. I don't know what to do at this point. I'm running in place.
Motto: Likelihood of event not happening is conditional upon dual party agreement which is unlikely based on past dealings therefore likelihood of the event occurring increases.
