Okay, on first analysis, I had the same analogy in which the children may confuse stairs and a ladder due to the same action being done, of going up and down. The way I got to D automatically was simply applying the principle that children who may learn a word may apply it to a different object, simply because of a similar action. Is this the right train of thought? CHAT LMK
