What tripped me here is that while I thought E would explain things if the stimulus stopped at 65, the proportion continued to drop even further after 75, well beyond retirement age. So while E was the best option and my dumb ass should have picked it, I did at least have some small justification for thinking "actually that's a clever trap answer."
You killed that test! There is obviously a bit of luck involved (S4 being the experimental instead of S3), but you're clearly a 175+ scorer.
Keep in mind there IS score variance, even for a test that is as reliable as the LSAT (which, according to the big former admission officer types around here, it is). So someone who is a 160 test taker, due to the variance, can get a hot streak and go up or down 3-4 points and it's statistical noise. Bad days happen. Sometimes a test is unusually good or bad for you. I had one outlier RC section that was a -6 despite my averages in the -2 to -3 range. I've also recently hit a -1 and a perfect section. Same person taking the test, just sometimes a passage is something that clicks into your brain smoothly and sometimes it isn't. Sometimes you get a hot streak in LR and sometimes you don't.
I picked D, my reasoning was that we might be able to conclude that the lack of ultraviolet vision was not the direct effect, but a secondary effect stemming from something else, like the genetic alteration actually stopping them from being able to produce... well, whatever, overthinking things again. Generally that's helpful on the LSAT, but not this time.
@Jdflmmns I just did what Kevin suggested and read carefully, took low resolution snapshots, and got a series of passages I really vibed with. RC feels very easy when I get passages that actually interest me, and very hard when I get some nonsense about basins of chaotic attraction probability or whatever that one was.
Still have a lot of work to do on my RC, but this really lifted my spirits today!
I knew this was shaky and possibly a trap, but I assumed that "age" in this context could be argued to mean "age in years," as it does when someone asks "your age." They want your age in years, not minutes or weeks or anything else. I was looking at E sideway though... and in hindsight it's SO OBVIOUS.
I hard eliminated D as a trap because it we are looking for a stance that supports their position, and they are a FREEWARE company. I expected D to be a popular trap choice because clearly, while we all might have a bias towards acquiring money, that doesn't necessarily mean innovation will benefit from being more profitable.
I put A, very reluctantly and only because it was the only one I didn't hard eliminate, but this is one of those questions I think LSAC genuinely got wrong. I don't think A is a second "right" answer, just that there isn't an answer that really makes sense.
I think the right answer is off in that it states the final part as a fact, not a believe, while the stim discusses a belief. That's why I ruled out A, anyway. Clearly a mistake.
I was pretty confident I was getting these... and nope, these were getting me. Far and away the worst drill I've done, only 2/5. ><
Nah this question is some ol' bullshit. I can see why E was mistaken (even though I picked it), but B does not follow logically and would be a trap answer in the LR section if it was there. Boo on the test writers. Boo.
I continue to hate these questions with a fiery passion. I got it right, and understood why, but it took me four minutes. Hopefully with practice speed and intuition will come, but right now I have to 'deep dive' rather than 'quick dip'
I was torn hard between B and E, and ended up picking right, but this one felt a lot like a coin toss. This one was rough.
Saw those pink circles on blind review and was freaking out, but it was just grumping at me over time... I only took 1:11 and 1:35, how could someone answer that third one in 25 seconds?! Madness!

Same. Contextually it had to be true, so I picked it, but whoever wrote that question should have a salmon thrown at them.
I got it right and still feel like I got it wrong. The answer feels so... weak and lame.

I have NO IDEA how. I wasn't even crazy over time. I went from a losing streak of historic proportions prior to this and suddenly I get them all? >_> Welp, hopefully that means it clicked. It's either that or I had a stroke and am hallucinating that suddenly I'm good at this in the last hazy moments before my death.
Okay, this one I got right, and in only 3 minutes! ...which is twice the time they want, but hell, I did it!
Got it right, and even for the right reasons... just took five minutes and I hate these questions so, so much.
This is the first time I not only got it wrong, but even seeing the right answer it still doesn't make any sense to me. Fuck this question.
"Credit can be given only if the missed copy is reported to us within twenty-four hours and only if a replacement copy is unavailable." I rejected C because it used the term 'credit.'
