Hi guys!
So, quick question. What's the best way to improve on translating from English to formal logic? Just redoing the drills already in the curriculum? Any other supplemental material anyone recommend???
Thank you :)
A and C still dont strengthen bc our stim is a bout weather being a MAJOR cause, sure, according to A and C, those could be minor causes and considering them doesnt weaken the argument, theyre irrelevant at best. :D
the possibility of determining market is WHOLE DIFFERENT IDEA than the actual market it self. I feel like C would be right had it said the market for rugs is positive. in that case mario would say no and renate would say yes. this whole being able to determine is bs.

Even if you misread the q stem, E is the only one that even makes sense. A-D are wrong for very concrete reasons.
A: either can satisfy, great, why tf is the lower one being recommended?
B: but its the same so contrapose and SHOULDNT select less powerful hurts the argument.
C; best value? theyre both worth the same you have to assume that a thing that gets the job done is the best value which doesnt really make sense.
D: highest commission? theyre both worth the same.
As for E, if you hear the salesperson say E in your mind, it makes sense. Salesperson: blah blah, consumer should choose least powerful. isnt that an advice then?
the thing with this question is, youre not just reading respondents argument and finding a flaw. if you do that youre not answering the question, which is the respondents REPLY TO THE DEBATERS ARGUMENT, which is about hierarchy. then it becomes crystal clear that D is the only flaw that we need to worry about. R is REPLYING to another argument. well in that case, the flaw you pick better have something to do with something the debater addresses.
rare in that the premise has a should in it.
Ya girl went from a 137 to a 160. Proud is all I feel right now. Thank god feb was my best take yet and highest score to date. LSAT IS OFFICIALLY OVER.
Thank you Nicole, Jimmy, David, Corey, and anyone else I've talked to. Most importantly, god bless JY.
Hello friends and LSAT warriors :)
First of all, A BIG FAT GOOD LUCK TO THE OCT TESTERS. You guys are gonna KILL it, no doubt :)
Question for all you LSAT gods:
I am currently in the process of re reading the Trainer and retaking 51-62 (retook 50 yday got a 162 actual, 169 BR)
I have taken 62-64, and 69 (just to jump around) same score range (159-161)
Fresh ones left: 65, 66, 67 68 70-75 (9)
My plan is to retake 51-62, 2 per week, with intense af BRs (shoutout to @Pacifico for the clean copy recommendation, I have finally started to atleast BR in my target range)
HERE IS THE QUESTION:
a) is my above schedule sounding good to you lsat gods?
b) perhaps like 2 weeks before the d-day, should I take the fresh ones or (actually read on TLS that you should have taken all exams upto test date and save no fresh ones until test day which i am dubious about) as of now I have scheduled 70-75 in the last two weeks and week of, one exam on mon, BR tuesday, and rest up wed-fri maybe to timed LGs but nothing crazy.
Thank you so much for reading this and helping me out, I appreciate all you LSAT gods :)
your common, two extremes type argument.
sooooooo I picked B but on BR, i see an issue.
Edgar says: in order to blah blah, shut down, which is PSF -> shut down
but B says the only reason for shut down is survival of fish. which is:
shut down-> PSF
wtf. am i missing something??!??!?!?!
Just wondering why that is, if that is the case?? I mean they still are administered official LSATs why not weigh them equally to tests administered in other months...
a NA would probz be that the spending will NOT stay the same, which is essentially what A is saying.
Even with B, I'm not sure if it was written the way JY says, it still wouldn't be correct. What does a year of being built have to do with modern facilities? what if an old ass building can still have REALLY modern facilities? You'd be making yet another assumption in thinking that old building=old facilities/tech. Why cant a building from the 80s also have top notch BP measuring instruments etc?
A is bullshit af. Yes, I totally see that the author mistook luck and hard work to be a not both relationship right away, how tf is this N/S confusion......
A is pretending to be no cause and still effect, which is a also a classic weakener.
c says magazines under discussion. plural. doesnt that mean its referring to our magazine AND BWR??!?! aka pointing out a similarity, thus not helping us weaken an analogy?
Hi guys! Just a quick question, as I am personally struggling with making the decision of taking Dec exam or postpone till June. As the whole world tells you to "just take it," idk if i "just" wanna take it...
Lets say I score a 160-162 this dec (no where near my goal)
Retake in June, and get in the upper 160s, say 167-169 range.
Would the admissions be dubious about such a jump? Is that something I have to explain or is that a given that I worked my butt off? Idk, there seems to be a lot of talk about not wanting to "scar" your records with a lower score, vs getting a much higher one later...
Any thoughts?
thanks guys :)
What condition indicator is ONLY IF?!?!?
conc: money doesnt exist.
why? a uni loss in belief in money is sufficient to make money disappear.
aka if something did actually exist->> then you could have loss in belief yet the money would exist?
a) precisely that.
b) if it exists--->then you have mistaken beliefs...mmm where does mistaken beliefs come form??
c) in order to exists---> the thing must have practical consequences but who is to say that loss in belief means there are no practical consequences???
d) were trying to conclude NOT exist.
e) nah. no need to equate a property of money to the market in general.
A on the other hand, is close. would it be right if it said no preference of NS plants OVER OTHER PLANTS then maybe it works. but we dont care about KINDS OF NS PLANTS!!
NTS; exceed doesnt mean shit. it could exceed by a dollar bruh.
Hi everyone!
So RC is my strength and I usually only miss 8-9 questions on the whole section and that is mostly because I run out of time! If I have time I am pretty sure I would get them all right! Any tips on improving reading speed? Or will it just come with practice as i do PTs over and over again??
thank you!
And if I keep dec and let's just say I scored 10 points low lol how does acdom think about that????
I already got my target score in sept. I was hoping to improve by 2-3 points in December. But as the others, effed up games, anxiety continued into the 5th.
So does one cancel do any harm??? I mean shit happens right???
Hi everyone!
Happy studying! For those of you who have invested in the lsat trainer, is it worth it? 7sage itself has been very helpful and i am following its schedule (taking 3 PTS every week, with one day in between where i review questions missed by going back to the curriculum/ drilling games etc). Is it possible for me to incorporate lsat trainer with my current schedule? Any advice is helpful!
Thanks in advance!
Ami
That dope ass moment when you're Indian, Hindu and have a penchant for reading Tagore on your leisure time. Tagore's passage was such a breeze! YAS. This was my last take and I'm proud to say it was my best test yet! THANK YOU 7SAGE AND JY. SO MUCH LOVE FOR YOU ALL.
I don't see how "H will go before G if and only if H is after F" translates to
G-H-F as one of the two possibilities.
(The second one was: F-H-G and I understand this)
Halp plz!
@ right back at you :) y'all, Josh is the man to go to during your insane times. Literally thank you 100x for being super fast in communicating and guiding me as a tutor and a friend :)
but our premise says no newspaper covers all sides of EVERY one of it stories...isnt that a super set of which important stories are a part of.......
i mean every is every... doesnt it itself, by definition include important and unimportant stories. so how do you know to distinguish them? the premise in the stim never said no newspaper covers all sides of A story. then i feel like its clear that important and just any one story dont have to overlap. HELP!
@ you can deff do it :) took me 1.5 years to do it but every second, now in retrospect was absolutely worth it. Just make sure you're not taking BR for granted!
@ you reached your goal you're good to go. I feel really proud of our achievements!!
@ you 100% can with 7sage. The biggest lesson for me was to get back up no matter how many times I fell: that includes shitty PT scores, freezing up during wacky ASS games, burn out etc. you can do it. :)
Thank you guys :) @ feels amazing doesn't it :)
I'm just really really relieved right now :) 1.5 years later, it's over :)))
I dont think B is attacking the premise.
1) We are told most people did not choose high salary as most desirable. that means some could have, which is consistent with B.
2) We know most didnt choose it has MOST desirable. So it was low-medium desirable. It could still have been chosen right.
