@SLT220 I sadly don't have much advice for you because I'm somewhat in the same boat, but the same thing happened to me. Scored well in PTs and then underperformed on the test, and now I've been slumping on my practice performances as well. Just wanted to let you know you're not alone
@Shardison Not OP but my highest PT score is a 179 and for me things that outline a conclusion or main point (thus, therefore, etc.) or tone/viewpoint indicators (sadly, unfortunately, tragically) are things that always pop out to me, mainly because whenever I do notice them the passage questions focus on them extensively.
It took me roughly a year of on-and-off studying starting from the mid-150s, and more than half of that was spent trying to break from the 160s to the 170s. That, however, was just my experience, and it is different for everyone.

Hey, that's totally normal. The best way I can describe this test is that it's weird, and it follows its own set of rules that you'll have to learn overtime that applies to no other real test, which makes it even harder. Keep at the practice and try and test out the curriculum, it'll get easier with time.
