When I solved this question, I thought the indicated portion of the sentence actually supports the final premise (first half of the last sentence). Just to make sure that I clearly understood this why it is not so; the stated portion of the sentence, one mentioned in the question, is not supporting the premise in the last sentence b/c it doesn’t demonstrate why the scientists thought such a sea “to be a primary factor”?
I got an email regarding lsat flex scheduling instructions at 12PM Korean time (like about 4 hours before from now) and when I tried to log in and to sign up about three hours later when the email was sent, all the time slots were taken except for options starting 12:10AM to 1:00AM These are the same options I saw when I logged in ProctorU after seeing people's comments about scheduling for testakers in the U.S. Does any of you guys think there could have been some problem with my ProctorU account or something or do you guys think I was just too late to sign up for it???

Email from LSAC regarding sign up for time (I received it yesterday)
You are registered for the online July LSAT-Flex, which will be administered during the week of Sat, July 11 through Friday, July 17.
Thanks to online testing, we can offer a range of start times for the LSAT Flex. Test takers will be able to choose the time that works best for their schedules from the available options on one or more days, which are determined by the remote proctoring requirements. If you prefer to test at a certain time of day, we recommend you try to sign up as early as possible, as slots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Sign up will begin at 12 p.m. EST, Friday June 26th. You will receive an email at that time with detailed instructions to guide you through the scheduling process.
[also some info about checking out the LSAC website and prep tests... not relevant to sign up]
Basically, we sign up tomorrow at noon eastern time. Since you didn't get this email I would assume that you might not get the sign up email either--I'd contact LSAC first thing tomorrow morning to be safe, especially if you want a certain time/day. Hope this helps :)
Thanks so much for sharing! I am going to be taking JULY LSAT FLEX outside of the U.S. and am wondering if the sign-up date and time will be same as you guys.. hmm
I was expecting around 172 and got 162 too so like -10 points than my diagnostics average
I am going to use my laptop for the test, and I don't think it is at all possible to keep any scrap papers within my laptop camera view's frame
HI I have not submitted my writing sample yet, and I took October LSAT Flex. Does that mean I will not be able to see my score ever? Or would I be able to see it once I submit the writing sample and it gets accepted?

Has anyone received an email or any communication from LSAC on when to register for time slots? Or is it just hearsay that it should be this week?
I am registered for July LSAT Flex and still have not received any email regarding the test time-slots sign-ups but the LSAC rep told me that the test takers should be receiving an email soon. I am so nervous if I will miss that email
Does anyone know if there will be variety of starting-time options?

Where are you seeing it? Mine isn't showing up on proctor U that I am registered for an exam at all. Just wondering if I am doing something wrong
I can see an october lsat exam under the "active exams" list after logging in to my proctoru account.

ummm guys, I checked proctor U and it seems we can register now. Do you guys have the same situation as me? (fingers crossed)
Just contacted ProctorU rep through live chat and the rep got me scheduled at 6pm. Did the registration period pass alreday? I thought the test-time registration period is supposed to begin at 12 (noon), September 22nd.

Hey I also logged in to my procturu account and I am also seeing active october lsat flex showing up but I don't think we can select a time slot yet.
Interested. I have scored 166 from the April LSAT. I am having a bit of an issue with my reading speed as I am an international student. Love to join one if spots are still available!
Just a quick Q— does anyone know if ProctorU stops testakers after every 35min of ea. section? Or do they just give us lump sum 105min-ish in total for us to complete three sections freely?

UPDATE: They just recovered my score and I got 179!
That's insane! What was your previous score(s)?
I got 170 on the February test and 168 on the May test.
Hey did you happened to hear back from LSAC about the score validity review thing? I took July flex in South Korea, and I had the same situation and got an email from LSAC telling me that they lost my test answers. Later, I got another email from LSAC saying that they found my answer on last Friday, and that they will release my score within 4 days. For some reason, they also offered refunding my test registration fee for July flex and a coupon for a future test registration. So I got my score this morning, and I got 153, which is -7 from the first test that I took without much studying. I scored 165 on my second LSAT, and I can hardly believe I got 153.

When does the time slot sign up begin for the October flex?
Also curious about this
I have that problem, too. I'm trying to wake up later than usual so that I don't get kind of exhausted/tired when taking the actual test. I also scored lower when I took a prep test last night. I am hoping that I will get used to with taking one at night.

@ So I signed up last night around 1AM and I was able to sign up for the 6PM slot. I read in another online forum that the slots ran out pretty quickly though.
Thanks for letting me know! I think there was a problem with my account so ProctorU are trying to find me a better time-slot to take the test!
