I got rid of A because I didn't realize wealth != income. I assumed they were analogous and immidialaty got rid of A when I saw that they mentioned speed first and then acceleration. Bummer.

You can search for the question on Google (in the address bar, ie pt64-s1-q04), and the first 7Sage link that appears will be the one you need. Just avoid scrolling down too far to prevent seeing the answer.

Got this one wrong because I didn't read "probably" in answer E. I saw "will not" and instantly assumed it was wrong. Please read carefully everyone!

Yes, big difference.

Your first sentence translates to "If Oxygen, then Fire". OR

"If there is oxygen, then a fire burns"

The second correct sentence translates to "If Fire, then Oxygen" OR

"If a fire burns, then there is oxygen"

It would still be "attempts".

When broken down all the way in your scenario, the basic sentence is "The leaders will backfire."

In this new broken down sentence, "will backfire" is describing the leaders, though in the complete sentence, "will backfire" is in relation to the attempts of the leaders, not the leaders themselves.
