Does anyone know what the deal is with the watch? Are there only certain types that you can bring in? Does the 180 watch still pass?

Some people here have contacted LSAC and confirmed some of the watches that are allowed on test day. I'm not sure if the 180 watch is one of them, I would call LSAC and confirm just to be sure.

I can tell you that I've emailed LSAC and they're confirmed the Top-Tier and Perfect Score watch are permitted for use.

All depends on the test location. I take mine at a hotel and they take stuff for you if you ask! Some take it in a classroom, and might not have that luxury. Ask the proctors before you go in what you can do. Also, if you wear a sweater, they might make you tuck your hood in!

Cool cool cool, thank you! Good luck to all of you this weekend!

Question - will there be a place to put our jackets?

Necessary assumption questions used to be the death of me..I just couldn't crack them. I went through the Trainer's sections on LR and I think it's really helped. Also, just doing the NA problem sets in the CC have helped tremendously. Usually, there's one big jump/glaring gap in NA questions that you want to find - once you find that, chances are the right answer choice will address that gap by either bridging/shielding.

Once you identify that glaring gap in the argument/the flaw, you need to find that one answer choice that needs to be true if the support/premises is ever going to prove the point. Remember, the correct answer will provide you with the bare minimum amount of support (compared to strengthen, PSA, SA questions). I hope that helps.

Hi!

In leaving J in, you're satisfying the necessary condition (/O -> J, therefore J is the necessary condition and /O is the sufficient. Once you satisfy the necessary, the rule falls away). So J could be in and then leaving O in (contraposing back), N has to be in with it.

/N -> /O; failing /O, taking the contrapositive O -> N.

I hope that helps. There's a relevant lesson on this but I can't seem to remember which one :( maybe someone can chime in and drop the link.

Yup, it is thinner than the single PTs sold on Amazon. I have a few from the 70s and they are of much better quality than the crappy quality we get on test day (I sat in December). The damn seal sucks too.

I just checked on my phone (android) and I see all the video explanations. Maybe try deleting it/re-installing.

AlexDivine - any idea why the Feb test is not disclosed?

I believe they recycle sections/material from undisclosed administrations, or something along those lines.

@

From what I understood looking over different school requirements is that some schools just take sketch/verifiers (Osgoode I believe) and others take sketch/verifiers and resumes (UofT), so yes do upload resume as well as doing sketch/verifiers!

Thanks for the heads up on the SAM tab, just getting home from work so will do that now!

No worries!

And okay, awesome - I'll upload mine just in case

Thank you!

Sending all the good thoughts your way! Good things come to those who wait, remember that! So think of it as LSAC and the universe just testing your patience haha.

This confused me a bit in the beginning but now I just think of the numbers being higher (bigger). So for example, if L is numbered lower than P it's L-P (1 being a low number, 2 higher, etc). You'll get it soon, it'll become intuitive

@ Yes, but did you see my GPA? Their website says at least a 3.7....

They take into consideration both your cGPA and the last 2 years of your undergrad! With the emphasis on the latter.

So with a cGPA of 3.48 (assuming it's on the OLSAS scale) and a slightly higher L2, 160+ will get you in - albeit a bit later in the cycle (March/April).

U of T looks at your best 3 years and UBC uses an index formula (also drops a few of your lowest grades)!

I suggest you write in December as well as February if you want to reach your goal score of 165+. I think it's doable.
