I'm planning on taking the August 2021 Lsat and I'm trying to practice taking prep tests with the new format. It will be 4 section with 1 unscored. On 7 sage theres only the Flex LSAT (3 sections) or regular (4 sections all scored), does anyone have any tips on how I should practice.

#help why can't there be the possibility that both happen??? Like what if they just last an hour.
I chose A twice, saw I got it wrong so chose D. I missed the key detail that Debbie was saying about consent. I kept thinking the correct answer would be why we need pain protocols. So basically I was trying to deny the conclusion instead of support.
#help is "some" negated all and None? or just "all"
Thank you all for the advice! Will def work on fool proofing and reading the trainer!
Hi, I started at a 142 and am currently PTing between 155-157. Any advice on how to break out of this? My goal is a 165 by October.
I need to definitely work on logic games timing, but any overall tips would be helpful. Or any books/course/tutors!

Why does JY write it as two arrows: TG --> O and then TG --> F.
I put TG --> O and F, is that an incorrect interpretation?
I'd like to join!
#help Why is the answer not C? I feel like "mysterious" in the conclusion means that "no one will ever know the true cause"?
#help Why is C wrong?
If you negate C, wouldn't it say private donations are welcomed by researchers who receive govt funding.
So then the conclusion would be wrong in saying there would be a decrease in funding?
#help SO we ignore the first sentence? I kept getting stuck on linking the first sentence to the logic in the rest of the stimulus
Hi I also had issues, got interrupted sections 3 and 4
I’m going to get a 160. Or higher!!
#help Was between A and C but went with A because in C it changed wording "unrealizable" in stimulus to "unattainable" in AC C, which I thought was a trick. Can someone clarify? Does wording change mean a trick or did I just make that up
I was between A and B and chose B twice. I think A made me think no because it mentioned microprinting being costly, and the stimulus said the special ink was "costly" so I thought this meant trick question. A is also worded weird where I didn't fully understand what it was saying.
#help Chose A, but D kept making me second guess.
Why is D wrong?
I was thinking that D would answer the paradox (more shark teeth/rare shark skeletons), because if sharks are alive today that means no skeletons, and if they keep losing teeth, then that's why they are common.
Hi everyone, I love when people share their final thoughts and advice as they close out of their law school journey so I thought hey maybe someone would find this post useful.
Background: I started at a 142, was PTing in the 156 range, took August 2021 got a 151 and felt pretty rough. I then started taking studying more seriously, got a tutor, and hit a 160 for November 2021. My goal was originally a 165 to hit just one schools median but I'm feeling burnt out and the majority of my schools are within the 160 range or lower, so I'm taking this win and applying now.
Disclaimer: This is what worked for me
Tips/Advice:
1. Focusing on Logic Games was the biggest help, I kept drilling and practicing new games which really helped me start moving faster. Do the foolproofing method, it really works.
2. I got the Loophole by Ellen Cassidy and her Basic Translation Drill saved me so much. DO THE DRILL. It'll help you move faster through LR. Also her Powerful vs. Provable chapter is a game-changer. I wish I would've gotten this book sooner.
3. Do full LR timed sections. Look at the questions you miss the most often and start drilling. First do 2-3 difficulty questions than 3-4, depending on the level you are getting wrong. Sometimes it helps to go back to the basics.
4. Another tip for LR: I focused on hitting the first 15 with accuracy and then the last 10 picking and choosing which question to spend time on, this really helped me set a pattern.
5. Manhattan Prep's "reading for scale" for RC was very helpful, in that it helped me read for purpose. I didn't do much of 7sage RC, so can't compare.
6. Lastly, I tutored with ellesat, more specifically Van, and if you have the money I highly recommend her. She offers tutoring packages and even with the first 2 sessions with her, I learned a lot about how to study for this test. Although, this test is doable on your own, I just needed more guidance.
7. Use a wrong answer journal, spreadsheets are super easy to see everything and really organized.

How do you map out AC: C using lawgic?
Getting stuck on the "No" and "unless". Or if you know what lesson this was taught pls let me know so I can review!
This question stumped me and took me forever but I figured it out.
Basically I diagrammed the same as JY and found that those who consumed alcohol + excess calories gained the SAME weight as those who cut out alcohol + ate same # of calories.
EX.
Group 1: alcohol + excess calories (2500)
Group 2: no alcohol + same # of calories (2000)
Knowing this....
A & B can be eliminated because nothing in the stimulus talks about these things.
C originally got me but realized weight gain was not mentioned ONLY body fat gain.
As for D & E, I was stuck between the two. I went with D because both groups ate different amount of calories but still gained weight which told me that body fat gain was not dependent on calories consumed.
E was tricky but eliminated because the "more significant" statement. It is incorrect considering BOTH groups gained weight.
Any retakers get just 1 LR?
