😊 Happy

Guess who I met in person today 😆!

Had such a fun surprise at the LSAC event today — I got to meet Instructor Bailey in person! Of course I had to get a selfie! 💞

I actually recognized her BEFORE I even saw her because I heard her voice in the elevator and immediately thought, “WAIT… I know that voice!” 😂 She genuinely talks EXACTLY the same in real life as she does in her 7Sage live lessons — even the “purrr fect” made an appearance!!! 😭😂

Also, she’s taller than I expected LOL. For some reason, I thought she’d be like 5’2”–5’4”! 😂 Which is hilariously ironic because we’re actually the same height, and SO many people say that about me too LOL!

But the best part??? She told me that she had actually looked up my profile and genuinely believes I can score in the 170s. 🥹😭 Y’ALL. I am STILL on cloud 9 right nowwwww!! 💞 Hearing that from someone whose LSAT lessons I’ve spent so much time learning from was seriously such an encouraging moment.

So cool to officially meet the 7Sage instructor whose live lessons I’ve spent so much time in! 💞

Thank you! This solves exactly what I was having trouble with! Simply pinning the instructor's video didn't work, and I figured there had to be some kind of setting or simple workaround that existed! I appreciate it!!

Camera Distractions During Live Sessions

I’ve been finding the 7Sage live Zoom classes extremely helpful and engaging. I really appreciate the instructors and how interactive the classes are, and I've found the live format to be very beneficial to my learning.

I wanted to bring up a small issue I’ve noticed and see if anyone else has experienced the same thing. When someone turns on their camera, Zoom automatically brings their video forward and places it prominently right beside the instructor's video. Of course, this makes complete sense when someone is speaking, since it allows everyone to see who is talking. However, when the person isn’t speaking, having their video displayed prominently beside the instructor can make it difficult to keep attention on the instructor and the screen being shared.

I find myself noticing things like someone playing with their hair, making facial expressions, talking to someone else in their setting, or getting up from/fidgeting in their seat. I’m sure none of this is intentionally meant to be distracting, but because their video is positioned right beside the instructor's, it’s difficult not to notice.

I’m wondering if there’s a Zoom setting I might be missing that could help with this, similar to turning off the chat preview. I’ve tried pinning the instructor’s video and playing around with the arrow/Zoom view settings, but unfortunately I haven’t found a way to keep other participants’ videos from popping up beside the instructor.

Alternatively, I wonder if it might be helpful for students who aren’t speaking to consider keeping their cameras off and then turning them on when they’re unmuted and speaking. I completely understand, though, that people may have different preferences and reasons for keeping their cameras on.

If I’m the only one being thrown off by this, I completely accept that it may just be a “me problem,” and I’ll continue trying to figure out how to work around it! I’d genuinely love to hear what others think and whether anyone else has experienced the same thing. 💗

Thank you, J.Y.! I’m glad we have the option to toggle this feature on or off in the settings rather than having the same experience for everyone. It’s nice to have the flexibility to choose what works best for us!

Thank you ! Although for some reason the last section is typically my best 😂! Probably because I get energized at the thought of being almost done 💀!

Just scored a 159 on PT 147 🥹🎀

Honestly, I’m not mad at it! This is my second-highest score, but more than anything, I’m just really happy with the growth I’ve been seeing lately. It feels like things are finally starting to click, and I’m really hoping this is my LAST score in the 150s 🤞🏾💗

Also, it’s kinda nice having fewer things to blind review lol 😂

Ready to see that final push into the 160s and eventually make my way into the 170s! ✨🎀

And to everyone else studying right now: keep going!! 🫶🏾 I made a post a while ago manifesting new high scores for all of us, and I’m starting to think it’s actually working 👀😂! I probably should’ve been a little more specific with my prayer because technically… this IS my highest score since I resumed studying in August 😭😂.

So if you’re reading this and still waiting on your breakthrough score, consider this your reminder to keep showing up. Your hard work is adding up, even when you can’t see it yet. 💗✨ Here’s to all of us hitting those new highs soon (And me seriously making it out of the 150s jail)! 🎀

RC progress feels GOOD!

Just got 100% correct on another Level 4 difficulty RC passage!

My RC practice this week has been a much-needed confidence boost. I’m starting to feel like I might actually be able to get through a passage and questions in under 9 minutes!

My untimed RC accuracy has been getting noticeably better, so now it’s time to start shifting gears. Next up: the 3-passage focus strategy! Aka. Can I do passages with 11 minutes each and hold accuracy?

Building the accuracy → bringing in the timing → holding it all together.

The progress is progressing!

Hi! I just wanted to reach out after reading your post to share my experience with you. I was in a very similar position, and I remember how overwhelming it felt to not know where to even begin.

I took a diagnostic last year where I scored a 134, and it took a LOT of work to get myself consistently into the 150–160 range. The LSAT is absolutely learnable!

One thing I would gently suggest is being selective about the advice you take from the discussion board. There is a lot of genuinely helpful information here, but I also remember feeling like some of the advice I was reading didn't really account for what it feels like to start below 140. Some of it can feel a little overwhelming or, at times, out of touch. You absolutely do NOT need to follow everyone's advice. Take what resonates with you, leave what doesn't, and don't let a bunch of different opinions make you feel like you need to do ten things at once.

I also saw that someone already recommended The Loophole by Ellen Cassidy, and I completely agree with that recommendation. That was actually the first resource I used, and I genuinely think it could help you tremendously with LR.

I would also be a little cautious about giving yourself such a huge amount of time without building in some structure and consistency. Having a long timeline can definitely be a blessing, but sometimes when we have too much time, it's easier to lose momentum or let studying become inconsistent. Sometimes we really do need a little fire under our butts to get us where we want to go 😂. You absolutely don't need to rush yourself, but I would make sure your timeline has enough structure to keep you accountable.

Spend most of your practice really learning how to get those 1–2 star questions right and understanding why you're getting each question right or wrong. Once you're consistently comfortable there, you can gradually work your way into harder questions, timed sections, and full PTs.

I approached it something like this:

  • Fundamentals first (again, The Loophole is a great starting point for LR)

  • Work slowly and prioritize accuracy in the beginning.

  • Understand WHY you're getting each question right or wrong

I'm obviously not a professional or an expert, so please take everything I say as just one person's experience. I wanted to reach out because I know what it feels like to see a 134 staring back at you and wonder if you'll ever get where you want to be; I wanted to report to you: yes, you absolutely can!

I actually took a break after my January score (had to focus on graduating and moving cities) and didn't start studying again until last month; let me tell you... Getting the rust off is VERY hard 😂! I wouldn't recommend it! But it honestly reminded me just how much consistency matters with this test.

Please feel free to message me anytime if you want to talk through studying, resources, or just need someone who understands the struggle. I'm rooting for you and sending you so much love and encouragement from H-town! 💞💞💞

You've got this. Seriously.

😅 Embarassed

Prephrase and Predict Feature! (Corrected)

I wish there were a feature on 7Sage that would allow us to hide the answer choices so we can break down the question stem and stimulus and predict before looking. Kind of like what we do in spotting the gap classes!

For example:

*I had to delete and correct my last post, as it was bothering me that I used the wrong "prephrase" lol. I will now be able to sleep tonight ♡ :’)

Manifesting: NEW high score this week!!! ✨🩷📈

Just finished my deep review of PT150, which I took this past weekend 🎀🩷 .

Honestly feeling pretty good and am soooo ready for the next!!

I’m putting it out into the universe now: manifesting a NEW PT high score this weekend 🕯️✨🩷📈. I’ve been putting in so much work lately and really trying to trust the process, so hopefully we get to see some of that work pay off :’)

Feeling motivated, feeling optimistic, and choosing to believe this is going to be a GOOD LSAT week 💕✨

Good luck to everyone taking an official or a PT this week!! Sending everyone all the best vibes and hoping we all get the scores we’ve been envisioning and working so hard for 🥹🩷 We got this!!!

And if we don’t get a new high score this week… We actually did, lmao. It was just in another universe. 🎀😭I designed this pic; hope you likeee!!!

@NoNamed92 Thank you, this was really helpful and honestly something I needed to hear! I think I’m subconsciously rushing the process by expecting the fruits of my labor immediately. It also reminded me of something Bailey said about the turtle 😂 Slow and steady will eventually build speed… or something like that!

😖 Frustrated

Feeling Discouraged: How Did You Improve Your PT Timing?

I’m feeling pretty frustrated after taking a PT today. I’m consistently unable to finish even one section, and lately, it feels like my performance is getting worse rather than better.

I’ve been making a conscious effort to apply what I’ve learned from analyzing question types in my wrong answer journal, but I’m struggling to translate that into better pacing. I often feel like there simply isn’t enough time to work through the questions carefully, and I end up leaving more questions unanswered with no time left to even guess.

Blind review has also become discouraging because I’m frequently having to revisit what feels like the whole section. I’m often flagged for spending 2–3x the recommended amount of time on questions, which makes it difficult to get through blind review efficiently. By that point, I’m mentally exhausted and honestly pretty discouraged by seeing all those darn pink circles.

Has anyone else been in this position, particularly after putting significant effort into reviewing and analyzing mistakes? If so, what helped you break through this and improve your timing without sacrificing accuracy?
