Is there an option to go fullscreen on the actual Flex? When I use lawhub right now, I'm not seeing that option. it's a bit distracting to only be able to utilize half the screen for the actual test

Haha at first I was nervous about this question because it’s long and at the end, but then i treated it as a 1 layered sequencing game and I felt a lot better

Hi all, wanted to seek some last minute advice before going into the October Flex. I've been fluctuating a lot lately and wanted to know from others who have experienced the same thing---what is your advice for performing your best on test day, and stabilizing your scores? Feeling demoralized after scoring a 166 today, after my first 180 a couple of days ago. My last 8 PTs, in order, have been:

175

176

171

171

167

169

180

166

I take 3 PTs a week, I know this is on the high side but the exam is really soon and I want to get exposed to as many questions as possible. Thanks in advance!

Also more of a general question, on the real Flex RC section, are there line numbers? I took a PT from the LSAC Lawhub website today and there were no line numbers which really threw me off.

How is "surprising" in 11 supported at all?

#help

I anticipated the flaw that the violence and savageness could be attributed to the human half of the creature and not the horse half. But I struggled with the question because i really dislike how answer choice A is worded, that the argument "fails to show that the creature mentioned represents the horse in peoples minds."

in my view, it's quite clear that the the argument shows the creature represents a horse ("myths of creatures who were half human and half horse"). I wish instead that the answer choice was worded "fails to show that the violent and savage attributes of the creature mentions represents the horse in peoples minds" because the prompt was quite clear that the creature was half horse, it was just the negative characteristics that were ambiguous.

I'd actually argue that it's quite possible. Just a couple examples: most people probably can recognize Messiah but not all of them know who George Frideric Handel is, people have heard of the opera Carmen but have no idea who Georges Bizet is, etc

I see what i did wrong! I completely missed "near the earthquake site" at the end of answer choice D. Now the AC makes total sense to me

it looks like i am the only one stumped by this question. I crossed out D because it doesn't say at all that the earth around Sweden has cracks.

D is nice because it shows that the melting of ice-->cracks-->earthquakes, but am i missing something obvious about how exactly this connects to sweden? We would have to assume that there was lots of ice melting around Sweden, and cracks in the earth there. That's a pretty hefty assumption no?

I hate this question. I only got it right because I’d process of elimination but I don’t know why cage correct answer is correct. Translating B: if it’s to stay in power, insurgent party must address disagreements. If they don’t address disagreements, they won’t stay in power.

Nothing about the stimulus suggests this. The insurgent power could very well address disagreements and still not stay in power. Very confusing question

For 13, I did not choose D bc it stated explicitly in the text that names confer identity upon individuals. But now I realize that I was wrong because all names do this, and not just hopi names. the question refers specifically to Hopi names' poetic qualities, leading D to be the correct answer

I see my mistake now--the referential phrasing for "in this regard" refers to obtaining standing in the first place and not winning/losing the case. Also, the three classes of plaintiffs mentioned aren't formally written into common law.

Why is 11 B and not D? It clearly says in line 18: in cases where the grave is ancient...they are less likely to be successful in this regard (prevent disinterment of remains). And for 3: actually common law provides clear frameworks for the standing. There are 3 classes of plaintiffs that are outlined in line 8. What is unclear, is which way the cases will sway after the standing has been applied. If anyone could help i'd be grateful!#help

Ok so let's say the temperature drops.

Scientists: The temp dropped! It must be because of volcanic ash!

JY: Perhaps not. This drop may be because of volcanic ash, but El Nino (EN) can cause the temp. to drop by exactly this amount as well. You just falsely attributed this temp. drop to volcanic ash. Perhaps many scientists falsely attribute any drop in temp. to volcanic ash, when it really has been EN all along. This leads us to believe that not all of the drops in temp. have truly been due to volcanic ash, some of them have been due to EN. this whole time, the cooling effect of a volcanic eruption has been over-pronounced, because there has been this other thing all along (EN) that causes the exact same effect.

I'm also not too sure what the tape part meant either. But the broad general idea i got from the sentence was: There's a base idea/script. Individual artists do their own thing with the base idea/script. Then the leader of the group joins the artists' work together. I don't really think it's important to understand exactly what they are talking about, just like when we read a science passage of the earth's core we don't really need to know all of the exact scientific processes happening. We just need to know the overarching idea

Can you explain why E is wrong? I think Pat saying "not always" means that Pat agrees it's sometimes okay to tailor an education method based on what the child is used to. But that contradicts what Dana says, which is that it's always necessary to tailor an education method based on what the child is used to.

#help I'm confused why it's not E because Dana says it's always desirable to dictate method of learning according to a child's preferences, but Pat says it's only sometimes desirable to do so. That's a disagreement no?

My issue with this question was the "basic concepts" part.. I don't see how greek tragedy is a basic concept to learn? It would make more sense to me that that answer choice is correct if instead of learning a few greek tragedies in depth, they'd learn iambic pentameter, exposition and climax etc, that they could then apply to real greek tragedies?
