How do you know that just because their "crafts' were becoming more diversified and sophisticated you can conclude that the people who used them are becoming more diverse and sophisticated. Just because their activities change does not imply that they have become any more sophisticated as people or diverse at all.
I get this is implied, but since it's the author attitude, and one perspective, is it realistic that this answer should fall along the lines of the MP? MP being that there's support for stealing thunder, despite the slight skepticism in the final paragraph. Is there correlation between author attitude & main point in single position passages?
I only didn't chose D because it says "daytime" napping. It never mentions the fishermen napping in the daytime, they definitely do it at night too. I read the answer from the tutor LowriThomas below but it just seems like an inconsistent assumption that you don't make in other questions but were supposed to here. She says to look past granular details and look at the core issue, which I agree you'd put D that's what i wanted to do. But so many times have answer choices been ruled out because of one word.

@spindlynoodles idk i just started out better at it to be honest. I started doing random 5 section questions at work and eventually noticed how similar most problems are to others.
