Hi everyone,

With LSAT Writing for the September 2022 LSAT about to open on Thursday, September 1, 2022, the LSAC wanted to send a quick reminder about LSAT Writing scratch paper use.

Scratch paper is not permitted during an LSAT Writing session. A digital note taking section is available within the LSAT Writing module to type notes as you write your essay.

You can review the LSAT Writing guidelines, including the Frequently Asked Questions section at the LSAT Writing page on LSAC.org.

If you have any other questions, or need further explanations, you can contact a Candidate Services representative via the chat feature located on the bottom right-hand corner of the pages on LSAC.org, email the LSAC at LSACinfo@LSAC.org with “September LSAT” in the subject line, or call them at 215.968.1001.

Hey 7Sagers,

Here's the official April 2022 LSAT Discussion Thread.

REMINDER: Under your Candidate Agreement, you may not discuss the details of any specific LSAT questions at any time. For the April LSAT, general discussion of what sections you had, or how difficult you found a given section, or speculation about which sections were scored or unscored, is prohibited until after 9pm ET, Tuesday, May 3rd.

Posts that violate these rules will be taken down and may result in disciplinary action from LSAC. Let’s work together to ensure the test is fair to everyone, and not share information before everyone has taken the test.

Some examples of typical comments:

The following comments are okay 🙆‍♀️

  • the section on Cambodian woodworking really had me second guessing everything.
  • a few of the games had me confused but think I was okay.
  • overall fair test, struggled on a couple of RC passages (damn you polymorphic molecules) but think I was okay hoping for a -2 or -3
  • The following comments are over the line 🙅‍♂️

  • the passage on Cambodian woodworking didn’t count.
  • I had Cambodian woodworking, Fireflies, and rice farming in Iowa so Lithuanian Lithograph Libraries was experimental.
  • fair test but struggled on a couple RC passages (polymorphic molecules anyone? Thankfully it didn’t count). Don’t want to take again in June
  • Anyone know if Polygamist Societies in the 1880s was real or experimental?
  • Please tell me that polygon dice game didn’t count
  • Good luck to everyone taking the April LSAT!

**Please keep all discussions of the April 2022 LSAT here!**(/red)

The LSAC recently announced that the registration for the August 2022 to June 2023 LSAT is currently scheduled to open on May 12, 2022.

Once registration for the 2022-2023 testing cycle opens, candidates will be able to register for any of the following test administrations:

    August 2022

    September 2022

    October 2022

    November 2022

    January 2023

    February 2023

    April 2023

    June 2023

Please visit the LSAC's website for more information regarding registration deadlines for each of these test administrations, as well as deadlines for requests for testing accommodations or testing assistance.

In an effort to assist test takers currently registered for the April administration of the LSAT who may wish to change their test date, the LSAC has extended the registration deadline for the June 2022 LSAT until Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Test takers currently registered for the June LSAT who would prefer to switch to a future administration can withdraw from the June test and then re-register for the test of their choice once registration opens in May. If a test taker withdraws by Thursday, April 28 at 11:59 p.m. ET, they will receive a full refund of the June 2022 fee. If a test taker wishes to change their test date from June 2022 to a subsequent date after April 28, however, they will not receive a full refund and will be charged a test-date-change fee.

Given the expressed preference of the substantial majority of test takers, the LSAC will continue to provide the LSAT in an online, live remote-proctored format.

    Hi 7Sagers,

The LSAC informed us that the testing interface for the LSAT will undergo changes for the 2023-2024 cycle, beginning with the August 2023 test. As part of enhanced security measures, the use of keyboard commands like CTRL-F will no longer be possible. However, an alternative function, known as "find text", developed by the LawHub team, will offer similar features in a more secure manner. See the image below.

The "find text" function will be visible at the top center of every page, and it allows test takers to search for terms, with results being highlighted with orange tags or made identifiable for visually impaired users via a screen reader (see the image below). To reset the field, users just need to erase the searched term. It is important to note that this function cannot be dismissed and will be present on all LSAT pages.

For test takers to practice, the "find text" function will be implemented on all LawHub practice tests starting from August 1. Guidance on its use will be available in the "Need help?" section on LawHub. Any queries can be directed to licensingsupport@LSAC.org.

    Hi @,

I am so sorry for the trouble.

I looked at your account and from our end, the LSAC account linked with your 7Sage account doesn't have an active Lawhub Advantage subscription.

LSAC requires that every student who wants to use a prep course that uses real LSAT questions must have an active Lawhub Advantage subscription. That includes us, 7Sage, and any other LSAT prep course that uses real LSAT questions.

If you have an active Lawhub Advantage subscription, please let me know. I can reach out to LSAC on your behalf to help fix your LSAC account. If you don't have one yet, you can purchase Lawhub Advantage directly from LSAC's Lawhub site using your currently linked LSAC account.

Without an active Lawhub Advantage subscription, you won't be able to access parts of our subscription courses that show the licensed materials including the PrepTests and explanation videos. I'm afraid this is LSAC's policy.

Note that you only need one LSAC Lawhub Advantage subscription no matter how many prep courses you use. That means that if you use prep courses from multiple companies, you don't need to purchase multiple Lawhub Advantage accounts. You can use the same one.

Again, I am terribly sorry for the trouble. Please let me know if you have any further questions. You can also email us at studentservice@.com.

  • Highest Score (either a practice test or the actual LSAT):
  • A paragraph or less about why you would recommend 7Sage, how it helped you, etc.
  • If you’ve been admitted to a Law School, where:
  • A high-quality, high-resolution photo we can use – can be a selfie, headshot, fun photo, or whatever!
  • We're so grateful to have you as part of our community, and love seeing you succeed!

@ I am so sorry for the trouble. I tried to reproduce the issue, but I was not able to.

However, I would like to get to the bottom of this so that it is working on your end too. Please try the following:

Change your video player to a more compatible one. Here’s how:

    Go to Account settings

    Under Profile Settings

Tap on the drop-down menu under Video Player

Select either "Classic - Older player with most features" or "Basic - Most compatible player with least features". See the screenshot below:

Use a different browser. We find that the Chrome browser works best with our course but Firefox and Safari work well too.

I hope this helps! Let meknow if you are still having trouble.

@ The scores above the answer choices are the average PrepTest scores of 7Sage students who chose that answer. For example, if the score above the answer choice is 165 for C, that means of everyone who took that PrepTest, we look at the subset of those people who chose C for that question and we average their PrepTest scores. It came out to 165. The percentage under the answer choice means the percentage of 7Sage students who chose that answer.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions!

@ Yes, soon we'll have a new digital tester you can use to take any PrepTest with the new LSAT format. In the meantime, you can use our score converter tool, which lets you use old PTs to get a sense of how you'd score on the two-LR version of the test.

You can read more about how we're helping test-takers prepare for the new LSAT in this blog post.

We’re also having a free webinar on Wednesday, October 25, from 8–9 pm, where 7Sage Partner Scott Milam and Director of Tutoring Aastha Sinha will discuss what this change means for the future of the test and your own studying!

You can register for the webinar here.

You can still see all of our LG lessons by temporarily switching back to the old curriculum. Just click the “Switch to v1” button on your syllabus page:

In the meantime, you can continue to access those RC lessons in CCv1.

    Hey 7Sagers!

A few months ago we announced that we'll be replacing the pre-made problem sets in the Core Curriculum. However, after carefully considering feedback from several 7Sagers, we've decided to keep the pre-made problem sets available for the time being. Rest assured, if we do decide to remove them in the future, we'll be sure to give you plenty of advance notice!

Note that you still have the option to create custom drills using our new drilling feature.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.

    Happy studying!

    Hi everyone,

The LSAC provided an update regarding the issues that occurred during the August 2023 administration of the LSAT, specifically concerning remote testing. The LSAC apologizes for the problems, citing a mix of staffing, infrastructure, and technology issues at Prometric, the selected proctoring vendor. While in-person testing went smoothly, remote testing encountered numerous delays on the first day, affecting many test takers.

To remedy the situation, the LSAC is offering affected students the opportunity to complete their August test, move to a future administration, or receive a full refund. Additional testing days have been scheduled for August 19 and 20, with the option for affected test takers to test in-person or remotely. They are also instructing affected individuals to file formal complaints through their LSAC.org accounts by August 14.

The LSAC are committed to resolving the issues with Prometric and have expressed deep regret for the inconvenience caused. They stress that it's their responsibility to ensure a smooth testing experience and will continue to work to eliminate these issues.

    Hi everyone,

After poring over more than six hundred exceptional applications, we're proud to announce the winners of the 2022 7Sage 7K scholarship. We are grateful to everyone who took the time to apply. Every single applicant was deserving, but the nine we chose moved us deeply. We think the world will be a better place when they earn their law degrees.

The winner of the 7Sage 7K scholarship is Webaza Nicholas who will receive a scholarship of $7,000 to defray the cost of a legal education, a pro bono Admissions Consulting package, and a pro bono 12-month subscription to 7Sage’s LSAT prep course.

The runner up is Justin Dunbar who will receive a scholarship of $1,000, a pro bono Admissions Consulting package, and a pro bono 12-month subscription to 7Sage’s LSAT prep course.

The other awardees are Amaris Buser, Jessica Dam, Nour Kalbouneh, Ruben Pinuelas (who said we can use their real names), lawtinx-1 (who preferred that we use their username), and two students who wished to remain completely anonymous.

Altogether, we are awarding $8,000, nine admissions consulting or editing packages, and nine LSAT prep packages.

To everyone who didn't win: thank you so much for your applications. All of you, without exception, will bring something unique and important to the legal profession. You rock.

    Hi @,

Yes, you can add question notes or edit the wrong answer journal after completing the blind review of a PT or drill. Here are the steps to do this:

    Select the PrepTest.

    Click on "Show Questions"

    Click "Go to Questions"

In the digital tester, scroll down until you see the box that says "Enter question note." See the GIF below:

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Hi @,

I am so sorry about that. I looked at your account and confirm that you have successfully linked your LawHub Advantage subscription to your 7Sage account. Therefore, you should be able to access all the materials in your 7Sage course.

Note, that you won't be able to see the 7Sage materials in your LawHub account. You can access the 7Sage materials on 7Sage only.

Also, if you take a PrepTest on LawHub it won't be visible on 7Sage. However, you can import your PrepTest answers from LawHub to 7Sage, by using the paper format on our site. Here are the steps to this:

When you select a PrepTest, a Digital Tester session is automatically created. To view the Answer Sheet you will need to convert the PrepTest from digital to paper by tapping on the "Convert" button on the Digital Tester. See the screenshot below:

After you "convert" the PrepTest from digital to paper, you will have the option to enter your answers on the Answer Sheet.

To enter your Blind Review answers, tap on the question number to show the blind review answer choices.

When you are finished, tap the big "Save and Score LSAT" blue button at the bottom of the Answer Sheet to score your answers.

After you have scored your answers, you will be able to see your results in your Analytics.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you are still having trouble. You can also send me an email at studentservice@.com.

@ No, the CC v2 lessons are not in the same order as CC v1.

Sorry for the trouble. You should be able to see your progress when you toggle back to CC v1. Please try the following troubleshooting tips:

Clear your browser's cache with these steps: https://classic.7sage.com/clear-cache/

Try using a different browser. We find that the Chrome browser works best with our course but Firefox and Safari work well do.

Again, I am terribly sorry for the trouble. If you are still having trouble, please let me know what device you are using (Windows or Mac) and what browser you are using so that I can further investigate the issue.

    Hi @

Sorry about that. That is because the Auto Builder pulls mostly from PT 1 to 45 but also pulls from later PTs that are from the second LR sections that are skipped if you take a PrepTest using the option "Current 3-section LSAT (LG,LR,RC)."

However, you can create custom drills using our Advanced Builder. Here is how to do this:

    Go to the Drills page

    Select "Advanced Builder"

    Select PrepTest

    Filter Sections (LG, LR, RC)

    Filter tags

Filter further by typing keywords like "pt36" (optional)

Tap the plus icon at the leftmost column to add all the questions, or scroll down and mark the questions you want to include with the plus icon on the left

Finally, tap on "Create Drill with ... questions" located at the bottom of the page

Please see the sample GIF below:

I hope this helps! Please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions.

    Hi everyone,

We're thrilled to announce that the winner of 7Sage's first Reproductive Health Equity Scholarship is Tyler Harden, whose years of tireless advocacy blew us away. Tyler will receive a free LSAT Ultimate subscription, a free Admissions Consulting package, and $500 toward her eventual law school tuition. We're excited to be with her on her law school journey!

In addition to our winner, we'd also like to recognize three runners-up: Gloria Martinez, Dighan Kelly, and Toria Isquith.

Is there a criteria that determines who wins? Is this going to be a thing from now on?

Would you mind leaving us a review?

    Hey everyone,

Thank you for choosing 7Sage for your LSAT studies. We are happy to be a part of your journey!

If you have a moment, would you mind leaving us a review on our Trustpilot page? We just registered an account with them so our reviews page is a bit sparse. (Thanks to those of you who already left reviews!) Please feel free to write about anything, for example, whether you found our lessons helpful, our tools and apps user-friendly, or how we stack up against the competition.

We would really appreciate as many reviews as we can get, but totally understand if you prefer not to leave a public review.

    Thank you again!

    Drilling Mode

    Hi everyone,

We plan to make the auto-builder the default for creating drills in about a week or two. Please let us know if you notice any issues using the auto-builder on your end so that we can correct them before it becomes the default.

Currently, you can access the auto-builder by going to the Drills tab and selecting "Use Auto Builder (beta)." See the GIF below:

Please also feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

    Hi everyone,

The LSAC has provided the following information about their upcoming LSAC Analytical Reasoning Field Study scheduled to take place December 16 and 17.

As part of the LSAC's ongoing efforts to improve the LSAT, they are researching alternative, equally valid ways to assess analytical reasoning (AR) skills (also known as Logic Games). This is a long-term research effort that they’ve been working on for several years and will continue for some time.

As part of this effort, the LSAC included a special research section in the June 2022 LSAT administration for some test takers. Building on that research, they will administer a three-section AR field study to several thousand volunteers.

Participation is open to anyone 18 years or older in the United States or Canada who has an LSAC.org account. This will include future and past test takers, as well as people who are considering taking the LSAT. The same terms and conditions apply as a regular LSAT administration.

The field study will be administered in the same live, remotely proctored format as a standard LSAT, using ProctorU and LawHub. The field study will consist of three sections: one section of traditional AR questions and two sections of questions that use alternative approaches to assess AR skills.

As an incentive for your participation, test takers will receive feedback on their performance on the traditional AR questions. Every study participant will receive a copy of the traditional AR section, the correct answers, and the answers they provided for each question. Upon completion of the LSAC AR Field Study, only the traditional AR section will be disclosed.

The data gathered in this study will enable the LSAC to continue its rigorous testing and analysis to ensure that potential new question types have the same reliability and predictive validity as current AR questions so that schools remain confident of the LSAT’s predictive value.

It is important to reiterate that there are no plans to change any part of the LSAT’s content in the near future. If and when the LSAC decides to incorporate any new question types into the actual LSAT, they will provide lengthy advance notice, practice questions, and explanatory materials prior to LSAC using any new question type in a scored section of the LSAT.

You can sign up for the LSAC Analytical Reasoning Field Study here.
