B almost got me for a second but there is no conditional logic in the first sentence. In D there is, which mirrors the stimulus. This is why it's important to read all of the answer choices!
I got this backwards twice after attempting to do it in my head but it made a lot more sense once I wrote it out. I correctly identified the conclusion and relevant premise but reversed the sufficient and necessary conditions.
@OwenTrela Well we know most well-designed public spaces feature artwork. We don't know that coffeeshops that are well-designed fall under that category. It could be that none of them fall under that category at all. You might be conflating "public places" with "well-designed public places."
#help Can we eliminate E because the conclusion is less certain than the stimulus? ('must" vs. it is likely that")
@jessegrewal08585 Same! I thought this was one was pretty tricky. Although I got it right, i thought it would be at least a 4 star question.
I got this one correct. One thing I also thought eliminated C was the part of the conclusion that said "are likely to be forgotten.." while the conclusion of stimulus is stronger and more certain "the contemporary novel is INCAPABLE of making important new contributions." Am I off-base?
@SMPA2017 That's exactly how I got to AC C.
