I was not sure that this mattered at all but if I apply with one recommendation letter (barring the school does not have a two letter minimum), if my other recommender happens to send there's in a little later, does that recommendation still become available to that school? Even though originally I only applied with one? For example, I send in my app with one rec letter on file on October 15th, but my second rec comes back to me November 1st, does the latter still get thrown as an "update" in my app? or is it just too little too late?
Girls....I'm scared. No but seriously I would be lying if I didn't have some anxiety built up for this next test. I have been attempting some PTs and I am on average scoring 5 points higher than my original score, with being about 7-8 questions off from the scaled/raw score that I am aiming for...and a lot of that comes from rushing due to not having enough time or second guessing which is so frustrating. Hoping that with some additional prep this week (and maybe some deep breaths) will help me out. Good luck to everyone!!
What helped me with this question was really thinking about how you have to accept the given premise as true, and push past bias in reality.... got the question right but definitely took my sweet time getting there.
Pointing out the whole outlier thing in the previous lesson I think really helped me here. I tend to get baited by those all the time so I am glad that we're going in some sort of direction
I am having major gaps by 10 points for every PT I am doing. It is so annoying because my blind review is my goal score. I find myself just taking too long to answer questions or reading the stem and just getting lost because I feel time pressure. Its so annoying and I want to over come this stupid hurdle. Ultimately, I've come to the conclusion that its probably due to my shaky foundations/non-existent confidence. This is beyond frustrating.
Key word here is "diagnostic". While we all have different starting points, this is the beginning and you're not always going to ace it first go around (as much as me and my wallet wish!) put in the work and the time to understand the foundations and the rest follows.
Hopefully this changes but I swear, these questions are a time killer for me right now.
I am struggling with this balance as well and honestly, for me, it is a "some days are better than others" kind of thing. I will say this though, take advantage of the days when you are one a roll. In my mind, one hour of quality studying is always going to do more good than 3 hours of anxious/distracted studying. You know yourself best, we're all just out here trying our best :)
The first part of this is killing me lol. That being you are so right about the mindset going in. I'm currently on the road to taking my second attempt and I have days where I feel I am on top the world and on the right track and days where I am a complete crash-out, but the mindset you have is the rubber band that snaps back (eventually lol). All that to say, test day is pretty standard. You check in and you just start, right then and there. All happens kind of fast in comparison to all other standardized testing in my opinion. Good luck!
These damn implied questions. For whatever reason, I struggle the most with these :(
I hate when in a lesson, an aspect of the answer does not encapsulate what has been clearly pointed out. I understand that answers aren't going to be perfect sometimes but similarly to this one, it the answer feels wrong because it doesn't mention everything....POE I guess..
The wording of this answer is kinda throwing me. I understand that Jazz is being used as an example of how Ellison's work is, but I guess I should have attributed that to the term "context" - Using an example of an art where what Ellison is doing is more identifiable.
@notsurewhyimdoingthis It just one of those things were this is just so your brain has a map to follow. After understanding the concept, the idea is it'll become intrinsic.....but, yk... the journey gotta come first : |
The conditional statement is " Only if their financial problems are solved can they and those around them be happy"
being happy is a subset (suff.) of having solved financial problems. (nec.)
In order to be happy, one must not have financial problems
happy -> /finance problems
finance problems -> /happy
The whole visualization of bubble subsets has really helped me internalize the idea behind conditional statements while my mind tries to reinforce word triggers along the way. While I am not 100% perfect at these yet, I feel like I'm finally making some leeway in actually understanding the patterns.
I feel like I am getting it but I literally hate this so much. I am losing my mind.
For context, I signed up to take the June LSAT in congruence with graduating undergrad this past May. I didn't have anytime to really study and with the expensive nature of the exam, I went and took it anyway with low expectations of course. I scored a 150 which is exactly where I though it would be tbh. Since then, I have started a full time job and studied as much as I can with the timing of work and while its definitely going to take more of an effort on my part, I'm overall just feeling burnt out and slightly scared for this next exam I scheduled. I am not doing amazing on my practice drills and I am personally aiming in the 160-165 range. I know its possible, I'm just having a hard time with it all. I really want to apply this app cycle but I'm having this sinking feeling I may have to put it off another year all because of this score.
long story short....I'm in shambles.
@philanderknox The way I interpret it is that A more or less supports the conclusion being said which is that it is not wise, "not prudent", to grow genetically engineered crops. In other words, it is not wise to grow enhanced products because there is a large financial risk, and there could be a study that exposes them as stated in the exceprt.
I accidentally just ignored the "Except" part in this stem for some annoying reason.

Edit: I guess the real question would it be better to just wait until I have both letters, I just don't want to apply "later" if all I am waiting on is one letter (again, barring there is a minimum of two needed)
