I used this same reasoning too haha! It just made more sense and allowed me to cross the others off with confidence
I was btwn A and B, but then noticed B was too strong to be a MSS right answer. Just by saying " No one can..." would exclude the very few students in the stimulus who did answer correctly
I thought this tooo but a lil too late ooof
P : traumatic event (no ptsd) —produce— > high cortisol when stressed
conclusion: trau (no ptsd) —affect—> cortisol levels
*conclusion implies causation
what if it’s the other way around?
more cortisol —- prevents—> trau (NO PTSD)
hope this helps!!!
P : traumatic event (no ptsd) ---produce--- > high cortisol when stressed
conclusion: trau (no ptsd) ---affect---> cortisol levels
*conclusion implies causation
what if it's the other way around?
more cortisol ---- prevents---> trau (NO PTSD)
hope this helps!!!
Yes! I was thinking about this too! Def the same concept
I chose C but during blind review I realized that the number of spiderwebs doesn't = the number of spiders on the island. For example, maybe there are 10 spiders who are virgos and can't stop being productive so they have the island swapped with spiderwebs.
A,,, however, does show that less competition for their food would lead to more spiders on the island !
not related to the question but based on ur user name... are you a lotr fan ? ( suspenseful music plays)
The way I thought of it, was just looking only at the two conditional statements given and not bringing in "real life" knowledge. We know in real life meetings can last for a long time or just 15 minutes. But next time just block out any "real world" knowledge :)!
Congrats!!! I hope nothing but the BEST FOR YOU!!! :) So happy that you shared this with us all!
I had trouble btwn C & D because they both looked similar. Until I realized that D specifically talks about the subgroup in the stimulus "Most of the viewers surveyed immediately prior to the debate"- this would most seriously undermine the argument in contrast to a more general answer like C! Hope this helps :) yall
omg this is the best way to explain it tyyyyy
eschew is to avoid and "summer haunt" refers to where they usually hang out during the summer
D was tempting but not really specific to the stimulus and especially not the last sentence. E on the other had,, if you even negate it it would make the argument fall apart
