Comparative relationships have three possible outcomes: greater than, less than, or equal to. All the negation or "negative comparison" is saying is that it is not one of the three. You are therefore able to eliminate one of the answers.
So, if people should feel no more responsible for economic disasters than for military invasions then...
more than is out.
less than is in.
equal to is in.
Therefore, people should feel less responsible for economic disasters than for military invasions
OR
People should feel equally responsible for economic disasters and military invasions.

Hi all. If I am still wobbly at argument identification, should I continue on with the study plan or circle back to that part until I am consistently identifying argument structure. I struggle a lot with differentiating context and premises for some reason...

What if the sentence read "Clearly, I can read." Would that then make it a conclusion? Or "I can read, clearly". I guess it depends on the supporting context!
