Am I tripping, or does A make absolutely no sense?

I got this question right, but it took me a long time because I couldn't understand what the stimulus was saying at all. After about 10 minutes, I gave up trying to fully understand it and looked at the answer choices instead. At that point, it was pretty obvious which answer was wrong.

This question was so straightforward that I convinced myself I was missing something because I kept getting E as the answer. I thought it was a trick question, spent 10 minutes second-guessing myself, and eventually just chose E out of frustration.....I was so shocked when I saw the difficulty level.......BTW... if you got this question wrong, you probably just misread the stimulus because it's kind of confusing. (Same thing happened to me.)

This was the easiest and simplest module we’ve had so far....it’s literally one I understood the first time I read it, which is why I’m confused about why everyone else is having a hard time. Maybe the videos just aren’t for me.
