i think one problematic point about B is that it fails to explain why this alienation is caused, which is obviously described in the stimulus

cannot agree more! the focus should be the inherent motivation of employees, but this kind of motivation is not necessary to be self-interested, it could also be a sense of responsibility that is altruistic
