I highly recommend working on LG first. Improving LG will be very easy at your stage and satisfying. You have enough time to work on LR as well but start with doing a lot of games

Last Week Strategy. Aiming for 169

A week left to the October Exam! Over my last 5 PTs, I'm averaging LR: -4.4 LG: -1.4 RC: -6.

What do you think I should focus on for the last week?

Little background, I started studying two months ago (5 weeks on 7Sage). Diagnostic at 159 and highest PT a couple weeks ago 171. Averaging 166 now. I didn't go through the core curriculum for RC at all because of the time constraint.

You’ll follow the link to ProctorU included in the email, sign in using your LSAC login info, and get to pick a date and time. You can log in anytime after and change the date and time if you want depending on availability.

I was in the exact same spot before the Oct test. Couldn't do much then because I had just gotten a handle on the games. I'm writing again in Nov. What I've done since is really slow down when reading the passage and write down a couple of words for each paragraph. I started with doing passages not timed and after I could get 100% I started doing them under timed conditions. It seems to be working so far. I'm assuming you get max 2 wrong in BR. I think it is worth spending more time on the passages even if it means you'd have to rush through the last couple of questions.

Congratulations!! How many hours a day did you study? I got 142 on the Nov flex and hoping to improve at least by 10 points by January!

First two months I was studying 6 to 8 hours 6 days a week. First going through the core curriculum then changed to doing a PT every 2 days or so. Starting the review on the same day and finishing the review and doing drills the next day. The last month I slowed down and was doing only 2-3 hours every day with one PT every 4 days. You can improve significantly from 142 by going through the core curriculum. Start by focusing there!

158 to 173 in 3 Months

I did it, you can too! I started my prep in August and was able to quit my job to study full time. "Wasted" 3 weeks on free resources and then jumped on 7Sage. Scored 163 in October and 173 on the November test.

Everyone is different, some need a year or more and some can cram it in a shorter period. I didn't come across many stories of people doing it in a short time period when I was going through my prep which was discouraging since I couldn't afford spending anything more than a few months. So, wanted to share my story in case you're in the same situation as I was. Keep it up and stay calm :)

Do they not release the number of wrong answers for each section? This was my first time taking the test so not sure how it works for undisclosed tests.

Vancouver, BC Study Buddy

Looking for someone to study with in Vancouver. Mostly for accountability and motivation. I'm writing the November Flex. Averaging 166 on the last 10 PTs and have scored as high as 170 on a timed test, so would be to happy to help where I can as well.

@ For a question like this, we want to look in the answer choices for a combination of cities that will cause the most trouble. Meaning, we can safely assume an answer choice with H & O together, for example, will not bump heads with any of the rules since O is a floater, no restrictions apply to it.

At first, I was talking about a hypothetical situation were both our rules apply to the same semester. So H in S --> M in S and V in S ---> T in S. In this example, we can easily see that H & V can't be together since they will have to bring M and T along and we can't have 4 cities in one semester.

But this game is not that simple, each rule applies to a different semester. So when we try H&V together in the same city it actually works out! This gets rid of two of the answer choices, A&E. (I should've shown this in the video).

The next step is to look for an answer choice that has a combination of one of the triggers ( H or V) with one of the followers ( M or T). So we wan look in the answer choices for a combination of H&T or V&M. And D is the one that has this. After trying it out we can confirm that the combination of answer choice D will not work out.

@ I took the test last week. Let me know which questions you need explanations on and I can do my best to explain. I'm writing the Nov test too

For Section 2 LG #3, could you go through how you solved it? I missed 15,16,17 when I took the test, but then when I went to review I got them correct but I'm still feeling like I have a loose understanding of this game. Is it an In/Out? with repeating elements? I'm definitely missing some inferences! I'm sitting for the NOV test and this has me spooked!

Here's game three. Let me know if you guys have any questions. Hope it helps a bit

On top of what Elena-lev said, you can remove the iMessage and FaceTime apps from your dock by right clicking on the icon. The proctor will do this for you, so not a must but it will save a tiny bit of time before the test.

@ No, you can't leave the view of the camera for the entire time. Don't listen to the proctors they don't know whats up!

@ I'm working through the LSAC-released May 2020 LSAT-Flex right now! I'm at a loss of how to even begin to start Section 2 Logic Game #2 Question #11. I don't quite understand what this Must Be True/Rule Substitution question is asking. I don't see what effect the condition that Gary cannot play against Jasmine has on the overall game, and thus don't know how to find an equivalent effect among the answer choices.

Hope this helps:
