I did the same thing. Im still kind of confused why C is correct
what a load of ##$## .. How I felt about this question and how answer choice E is correct.
Thanks for explanation though JY ..
I understood the idea P-C If Ejected not a planet .. couldnt find the correct answer just guessed and moved on despite understanding the ideas.
I find in most instances I have issues not understanding the logic but understanding with the answer choices are saying
Hey guys,
For answer D I diagrammed it as Participate- 1yr or more
JY diagrams it as 1yr or more as the sufficent condition and Particpate the necessary
All is Group 1 and its introducing the sufficient condition.
Can someone explain to me why the logic is translated like that. Im still kind of confused.
Thanks
How I was able to go over this question pretty quickly without diagramming logic was thinking how do we get to premise to conclusion
Premise- All members abstain then the matter will be decided by the city voters
Conclsuion- So atleast one member of the city council should vote against the proposal
Missing gap --- Well seems like they dont want the city voters to decide the matter
Answer choice B
This method doesn't help all the time but it can help on some SA questions
Microorganism as species ... thats why I did not pick A ..the word other species not an assumption in itself to think species= microorganism
I thought species .... animal species no umm cant be this
Guess I was wrong
I was confused at first reviewing this question ... Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the correct answer choice would relate to something stating M does not talk about aesthetics ... I chose E because it was the only thing that aesthetics mentioned aesthetics.. I see now why C is right.
I read the damn premise wrong.. Its stating that if its towards the general audience it must talk about aesthetics and utility.
I read the stimulus stating if not directed towards general audience then it must focus on A and U.
Its an easy question if you read the stimulus correctly.. but its a P@@SS OFF if you missed it .. sometimes going over LSAT stuff is frustrating :(
Is it just me or was this whole RC section super easy.
24/27 highest I have ever scored.. RC is my worst section and I hope this is not an outlier.
After long hours of review and forcing myself to apply the memory test and summarizing each paragraph Im noticing improvements.
Keep applying the memory test and follow other students who summarize the passage in the comments.
It will click ... eventually :)
I eliminated B because I thought ..umm sound like an SA .. and picked A. I realize why A is wrong.
F!!@@# I understood the first paragraph and the idea about magnetic variation.. But then I was all confused about the ridge and crest idea. Thanks for the visual mappings JY. Just could not wrap my head around WTF was going on lol
Hey Guys, Im really struggling with this one.
How does JY come up with the two worlds.
All I see is Understand word then know definition and understanding words that occur in the definition.
clearly all babies do not know the dictionary definition of the words uttered.
know definition/→Understand word/ (the contrapositive)
I just dont see how he brings up the idea of bizarre world vs our world.
I read over A and it seemed to match and quickly went over the rest ... I have a feeling LSAT test writers placed the answer choice as E to probably get a few other test takes to fall for the trap I did. Totally missed the flaw in the conclusion.
@476.rizeq thanks :)
@7sagestudentservices emailed you Dillon.
Thanks again :)
Hi guys,
I have a question on upgrading to the Ultimate+. I have been using the Premium package for the last few months because at the time I was only able to afford the Premium package. I want to upgrade to the Ultimate+ and I remember on reading few months back people have done this and have been able to get the full access as if they first purchased the package.
Just wondering If I purchased the package today will I be able to get the full access rather then just the 2 month extension.
Thank you.
Tell me about it ... Did decent on the Sec 1 2 3 and then got burned on the RC section :( Damn just when I felt I had improved on the RC
How I was able to eliminate answer choice A in PT was because of the word project... I was left with A and B but B states specifically Dangerous activities .
Did I just get lucky here or is this is another distinction we can make between the answer choices.
Thanks everyone for all the advice....
@sunnypooni797 I took my time and focused on the stimulus. I realized I had a tendency to read stimulus but focused more of my attention on the answers.
@gregoryalexanderdevine723 thanks for the link and will definitely be going over the LSAT trainer.
@jhaldy10325 Its a bit of both. Sometimes I miss the flaw, other times I understand the flaw but fall for the answer choice. I went over Prep test 45 today and circled less of the flaws today. Will be BRing later on too see if the drilling and slowing down when I come across flaws is helping.
@subashsub7466 thanks will start to do that when BR and I'm sure it will come second nature dealing with these questions.
Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to seek some advice from other 7sagers on tackling Flaw question types.
I have gone over the syllabus a few times on these questions and even memorized the different flaws that could arise. However, I am still averaging around 45 to 50% correct when dealing with these questions. (got the score from my LSAT analytics).
Im following the two step test - 1) Facts 2) flaw but still struggle with these questions.
Can anyone recommend any methods you have used in trying to improve with these question types. Ive noticed these question types appear quite a bit on the LR sections.
Thanks :)
Ive been struggling with group 4 negate necessary groups, especially when the word no appears.
Guess I need to remember it can be a double negative and go back to the group 4 conditional groups.
The moment you grouped the conditional statement I was able to indicate the flaw .. missed an easy mark here :(
I was left with A and D .. When I read A even in my BR I thought it was stating that earth has not passed through clouds of cosmic dust at all. I was thinking .. well who knows .. earth can pass through cosmic dust but an ice age might not occur because the dust cloud was not dense.
I thought D was further proof that dust clouds exist.
Damn it ! I diagrammed the question wrong in BR and exam time.
I diagrammed the question stem as S←s→FT and S←s→FT/ ( nailed that)
BUT
I then diagrammed the idea of Client wishes CW→S←s→FT
CW→S←s→FT/
I thought it nailed it A is just the contrapositive to CW→S .. BUT I was wrong :(
Did anyone else have issues with the Lawgic diagram ?
Just frustrating when you remember the section on valid and invalid arguments but mess up because of the diagramming.
Guess more drilling
You are not alone .. I have been struggling with RC as well. During my BR I go through the passage and do well, averaging around 6 to 7 incorrect (for me thats well lol) However, during timed tests Im on average losing 11 to 12 marks, which is frustrating. I have noticed improvements with pausing after a paragraph trying to understand wth have I just read and summarizing the MP of the paragraph. Using this method it helps in locating where things might be in answering questions and to go over some questions without referring to the text. I'm sure with more passages we read and work on it will become second nature :)
I got this question correct in both BR and Exam time. However, Im still having problems eliminating the Answer choice C. I chose D because the stimulus facts proves D.
I understand the meaning of some, which can be all some a few. However, I still cant grasp why its wrong.
Can someone please help with an explanation
@julsnet2 How I got this question correct was Line 57 to 59.
Throughout the passage the Author really does not really give us an opinion about the pin factory. He seems more descriptive.. telling us the reader what the hell this paradox is and why the pin factory idea has not been implemented.
First time we get a tone of what the author thinks about the Pin Factory is 57 to 59.
