For those of you who have submitted the Columbia App, anybody can't log in to the portal? Mine was saying there was a technical issue since I got the original email. Thanks

Glad to see everyone again! How r y'all doing? @ that's weird your LSAT is higher than mine but you didn't get a waiver from Columbia? I thought they gave waivers based on that.
I'm pretty sure Harvard requires submission of all GRE and LSATs taken within the past five years. They don't, however, have to report a GRE for somebody with an LSAT so I don't think it matters too much.
I think traffic incidents should be listed on their apps unless schools specifically said they shouldn't be. But I've read from multiple credible sources (e.g. PS and Spivey I think) these will not be a problem. I don't have any experience with this but I imagine your arrest, if not seen as a plus, would not be seen as a negative as well.
@ I got a waiver from Cal for two days and then they withdrew it and this has happened to other people so maybe they don't really give out merit waivers
FYI people Columbia just sent out some fee waivers
Yea apparently they didn't update their data base: I already received a waiver upon request but they sent me one anyway. Wonder whether I can actually get some cash back:)
@ I don't think this's too meaningful. Once you have an LSAT score schools have to report it. And since GRE is still not currently used in ranking, it won't offset the influence too much.
@ That's great news! What do they ask in the form? Just your financial situations? If it's just based on that I would probably qualify too lol cause I think we're making about the same
Yeah this guy... "LSAT tests today are junk science and called 'games'" Is he saying LSAT is stupid because we call analytical reasoning "games"?
@ Haha it's funny why do they include this line? I think my email was answered by a real person but now I'm feeling stupid for saying just "Thank you for the waiver"!
@ Good point! Hope they didn't mind I waited a day.
@ Congrats! Do you send them thank you emails after you get waivers from like UVA? I said thanks in the original email but am just wondering:)
Actually nvm saw my waiver. But essentially I got a waiver without an email. Did your waiver show at the very end? @
@ you mean waivers that don’t show up until you check out?
I don’t think it’s an issue for the most part unless you’re talking about extremely rare cases when this might be a tie-breaker. I do somehow, however, think Yale is an exception in that they do look at the prestige of your undergrad. Dk where I got this sense; can somebody confirm or correct me on this?
@ Yes! First waiver from T6 haha @ I got waiver from Chicago/Cornell/Michigan but didn’t get one for UVA so I guess it’s kinda random
@ Lol okay didn't Columbia also say they would not give out merit based waivers? I hope they are just messed up by the storm:)
@ Same; do they used to send out early waivers?
@ lol you will get in anyway!
