Got it in blind review. Initially fell for oldest trick in the book. Mixed up sufficiency for necessity. Was feeling the time constraint. How do you guys go about the first attempt? Prioritize speed or accuracy?

Defining assumptions as forgotten premises made the lightbulb go off. I see now how the tiger argument could have been stronger. These missing links can most certainly affect the strength of an argument, as well as undermine one.

I learned that the spectrum of support is determined by one pivotal question "how much?"

How much does each premise support the conclusion. That is how to evaluate the strength of an argument. Disney argument is almost airtight as they present two possibilities and rule out one. Tiger argument is less effective because there are some assumptions made that make it less definitive. The trash bin argument is the least because it relies on suggestion/assumption and therefore has holes in the logic.

The Disney argument is the strongest because it uses sound logic to back up its conclusion. Multiple premises. More support = stronger argument.

The Tiger argument is the 2nd most effective likely because it has a conclusion that is not assumed, rather it is explicitly stated. The thing holding it back is the fact that it doesn't have as much support.

The Trash Bin argument is the least effective because the conclusion is more suggested/assumed than ultimately proven by the preceding claims.

Tiger: Not all cooking oils are healthy on a daily basis. After all, many oils like Sunflower and Sesame contain high levels of Omega 6 fatty acids, which cause inflammation and can be detrimental to your health.

Disney: College students qualify for a discounted version of Spotify. These College students can provide their school email and pay $2.49 a month. Vikash has graduated and no longer has access to his school email. Therefore he doesn't qualify for the discount.
