If A (driving over the speed limit) is a significant factor in most B (accidents), can I establish a causal relationship between the two?
Can I draw A ---M --> B?

Thank you in advance!
@dimakyure869 what do you mean by "this cycle"? Are you referring to a 2021 Apps vs 2022 Apps?
@hghirsch055293 - what do you mean by applied to NYU in Sept and April? I am pretty new to the application process. Can you apply multiple times to a single school?
@wonsupchung937
I took the April flex and it was very pleasant. The room check and instructions etc, all took about 15 minutes and I was good to go. The proctor interrupted me 3 minutes before my last section asking if I was still working, and other than that, everything went well without any major issues. No lags.
I recommend emptying cache, clearing browse history before taking the test. Also, I would restart your computer right before taking the test to have enough RAM space.
Good luck!
@oziee87419 are you saying if you have taken more than 4 times, schools will look at your scores differently?

Thank you so much for your comment!
I think it's kind of a whole-to-part error of assumption (what's true of the whole is not necessarily true for each part).
This part helped me so much!
Looking back, big mistake I made was when I draw
WD CH --> WD PP --M--> AW
Therefore WD CH --M--> AW * which is one of the invalid conclusions we learned from CC.
I was equating WD CH with WD PP (WD CH = WD PP).
I realized that D is correct because
WD CH / R --> WD PP --> C PP --> SI
Therefore WD CH / R --> SI
A --> B --> C --> D
Therefore A --> D
Thank you again for your explanation! `
MBT Question:
All C and R are public places. Most well-designed public places feature art work.
Wrong Answer Choice: Most C that are well-designed feature art work.
I mistakenly thought that if all C and R are public places and most well-designed public places (which I believe a subset of public places) feature art work, then most C (which is a subset of public places) that are well-designed feature art work.
I diagrammed it to see why I was wrong, but still I am not 100% satisfied with my understanding on this question.
I understand that
Public Place WD --M--> Feature Artwork
C (which is a subset of public place) WD --M--> Feature Artwork
are not the same but still the wrong answer doesn't jump out to me as a horribly wrong answer choice.
Can someone share their thoughts on this question?

Same here - looking back, C is pretty bad but I couldn’t pick B for the same reason.
same here - during the review, it doesn't appear to be a challenging question. For me, I was intimidated by terms like Country F, G, global leader, GNP and rushed through the passage.
B - Successful strategies → Never intensify
Negating this statement would be:
NOT (Successful strategies → Never intensify)
Which is:
Successful strategies and NOT (Never intensify)
Which is:
Successful strategies and chance to intensify
Translation: there are some successful strategies for overcoming adolescent loneliness do have a change to intensify loneliness.
when they grant you a retake, what happens with your score? Do they delete them?
@cnguyen2195719 very good tip! Thank you so much!!
@ashleytien240 Thank you so much for your reply! I appreciate you sharing the websites. Personally, reading Economist articles gave me clarity and confidence when I approach to RC passages in general. Of course I won't ever find a similar RC legal passage on those websites, but feeling like "I've read legal articles before" could be comforting and beneficial.
Wish you the best and happy thanksgiving :smiley:
I am having a tough time working on Law passages on RC. It feels way harder than science, economy, SS passages.
Does anyone have any tips on how to get familiar with the subject? Any books, websites?
I've been reading economist articles 5-10 per day and it's been a great help. Hoping to find some books or website to prepare for Legal passages on RC.
Thanks!
Very helpful explanation! So this question is tricky because we have to pick only 1 side of the two views right? The question stem didn’t specify necessarily which side we need to pick.

If answer choice (A) were modified to “the percentage of P’s supporters who were eligible to vote is smaller than the percentage of Y’s supporters who were eligible to vote,” would that explain the discrepancy?
The last sentence is supporting the main point of the argument which is there IS evidence supporting the rate of extinction of animal species is now accelerating.

I eliminated (B) and (E) as soon as I saw the word "unjust" - because according to the stimulus, I concluded that I know nothing about unjust government. Would that be a problematic in the future?
Can I safely make an assumption from a description of "just government" to what a "unjust" government would look like?
Thank you for your time!

Can someone read my comment and see if there's any error in my thinking? Thanks!

(E) - reason to disprove this AC was that I couldn't identify the policy that Sarah considers and the policy that Sarah fails to consider.
Basically, there's only one policy introduced from the stimulus, which is forcing students to volunteer in order to foster a habit of volunteering. And what's "a policy Sarah fails to consider"? Also, what's "the policy Sarah considers"?

Also, would you agree that (A) is wrong, because the part of "various fears raised by Ethicists" is contextual, which (A) is referring to.
And "Cloning will not produce adults with identical personalities" only supporting the conclusion sentence "the horror-movie image of a wealthy person creating an army of exact duplicates is completely unrealistic."
Thanks!

Is it safe to make an assumption that being effective equates being able to do a job properly?
They must be deceitful in order to do the job properly.
From this sentence, can I draw the following lawgic?
Doing job properly/Effective → Deceitful

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! I am so glad that I double check with others - otherwise I would've developed a incorrect thought process. Thanks again!

Would it be too much to make an assumption that the doubling Hyena's population harms the wild life?
Because one needs to make an assumption to prove that Hyena = Harm to WL.
if the AC (D) were to be "The population of hyenas, major source of harms to the Wild Life, that live near unregulated garbage landfills north of the reserve has doubled in the last two years. would you agree that, in this case, this answer could weaken the argument?
Would love to hear some of your thoughts.
Thank you!

No, I just applied in September and by the time April rolled around, they still hadn't gotten back to me with a decision.
Man, I can't imagine the agony... wish you the best! Hope you get to hear good news soon
