One piece of advice is to sit down and go over all your wrong answers. Go for quality, not quantity. I have made the same mistake before, just doing one PT after another without knowing why I got this wrong. You should do BR for all sections! You can do it!

Heyyyy that's amazing! I'm taking the November test and want to start on PS right after taking my LSAT. Do you think it's too late to start in late November? I know that of course the soon the better, but i really want a strong LSAT score first. How long did it take you to finish your PS? How many rounds of back and forth, if I may ask? Thanks!

#help I don't understand. Why can't I write the conditional in (A) as "hurricane --> preceded by tropical storm"? If A is resulted from B, can we not say that A--> preceded by B? Why did JY flip the order of sufficient and necessary condition for the answer choices? For (B) too, I wrote "river overflow--> preceded by winter with high snowfall". Why can't I do that?

Hey thanks for the info! Do you have certain specific games that you could point to that exemplify this?

Hey I would suggest doing structural summaries at the end of each paragraph! I have been there too. Just try to stay as an active reader, and summarize in 2-4 words and do it for all paragraphs. Then try to answer the questions with that summary. Regarding hard passages, I just find Blind Reviewing them really helpful. Know why and how you chose what you chose, and why the right answer is right. Good luck!!!!

Hey! I heard the pen/stylus is pretty bad as a pen lol. Sad reality that 200 bucks for a bad pen. I have the same question regarding whether it's ok to bring own pen, but I know as a fact that we cannot bring mechanical pencils!

Good luckkkkk

Heyyyyy first off, I had the same thing for my July test! They moved my test location two weeks away. First things first, it's fine! Just think about your options and decide what is best for you. I booked a hotel room just because I get nauseated if I sit in the car for too long. But it's totally up to you and again I agree with what others have said, think about the long term return on your investment in a hotel room! All that loads of scholarship money! Anyways, good luck!! You can do it !!!

How advantageous would applying for ED put a student over someone else who cannot do it because of late LSAT registration? I want to apply for ED but I registered for LSAT in November, which is later than the latest LSAT date most ED programs allow. Thanks!

#Help Retake Dilemma

Hi all,

I am in a dilemma in that I have taken all PTs from 40-87 before I took my last LSAT and thus have foolishly used up all newer tests (I did not do PTs before 40 thinking that they are comparatively less valuable than the newer ones). Does anyone have any suggestion regarding how I should do PTs now that I am studying for the November test? Should I PT with older tests, which I haven't done before, or should I PT with the more recent ones, which I have done once or even twice for a few of them? The good thing is even if I have done a question, I tend to not remember the answer choice. But I know JY and others have said that regardless, one's score is likely to be inflated if one has done it before... Has anyone had similar experiences before? Any suggestions or recommendations would be very much appreciated ^^!

Thanks for the info on Surface Go!! So we are not allowed to bring in any pencil/pen of our own, and there is no use of pencil during any section? Only pens? Is it like soft-tip ballpoint pen? Sorry if I am asking too much details, just trying to simulate the actual test day experience as much as possible during my PTs..

LSAC transcripts

Hey 7sagers,

just a quick question about transcripts: I just submitted my request to send transcript to LSAC, and I saw that on the website LSAC says it takes up to two weeks to process. But I am still waiting on my grades this semester, which won't be released until January... Can I request another transcript and update the one I just sent in January? What if I already sent some apps to schools by then? Do you guys know if I can tell schools to update my transcript?

Thanks!

#help I thought that (B) is kind of right and kind of wrong because “results from” is a strong causal indicator. But how can we say that amusia must result more from, aka be caused more by, inability to discern pitch than to track timed sequence? I think that it should be “ more likely to result from ...”, but can we read it like that? Is that not our own assumption?

Hey fellow LSATers!

I am a college student applying this cycle and taking the Nov test. I am in school full time but whenever study whenever I have free time/in between classes/on weekends. I am responsible, prompt and motivated and this is going to be my last shot before I send in all my apps to law schools in December.I'm looking for anyone interested in meeting online and talking over some PTs/ analyzing questions together. We can also go through strategies/tips/tell each other not to get burnt out during this painful process. Please DM me if interested ^^ !

Hey 7sagers,

since two days ago all of a sudden I cannot use the small gray button that looks like a magnifier underneath "Question QuickView" besides the question number to see the question again after I score a PT. I use that for all the questions I got wrong, just to reread the stimulus and think through it before looking at the correct answer, so this problem has caused a lot of inconvenience. I tried clearing cache but the problem is still there. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? This happened around the same time when the new functions like "printable", "convert" and "delete" (in red), and I have never had any problem with seeing the stimulus again using that small gray button before. Can anyone help me to fix this? Since I don't want to know which answer is correct, it's been really painful to have go back and forth to see just the stimulus.

Thanks!

Hey I agree with what @ Ms Nikki said. Don’t stress too much about which PTs are the best to practice with, since ultimately they are also functionally the same. If the RC is easy, the LR might be hard. If LG is a piece of cake, here comes a really hard LR section. They are all largely equal in terms of their function

Hey I m in too! I’m a full time student so studying alone + the stress of being a student and a LSAT test taker has not come easy… But on a positive note I’m taking the test in 3 weeks so I’m really glad that my prep is coming to an end. Is 3 weeks too short of a time period for me to be added in ?

Since BR for November 1 and November 3 are both on section 2 LR questions 1-14, does it mean that section 2 LR will be taught/discussed twice? If so then yayyyy because I am planning on taking PT88 this weekend! Thank you @ JY!!!

How advantageous is it for a student to send in their application very early ? In other words, is it better to have a better score in regular cycle or a relatively worse score in early cycle?
